G Peppers

Ordered a 10 PC wings and the poppers for pickup. The lady who answered the phone was super nice and helpful (first time ordering online menus are not always updated). When I got there and went in the place was clean and had a great feel/atmosphere. Put it on my "to come back" list. The ladies behind the counter, again, we're very nice, prompt, and helpful. I'm a little picky with my wings but these were done very well. We split order five hot and five lemon pepper. They were very good; not fried till they were crunchy and hard, not too much bread, good flavor, plenty of chicken.

This is an unprepossessing strip mall mostly sandwich restaurant and bar that is magnificent. Really. I had a perfect Ruben that looked and tasted like New York City. They make their chips. They have perfect sweet potato fries. Their homemade soups are magnificent. It’s as if you’ve gone back in time to an era where restaurants were not all the same. Nothing they serve in this restaurant is less than surprisingly and obviously good, at first sight. For example: the inside of the old-fashioned-real-hamburger-done-the-way-you-like-it bun is toasted lightly and buttered. Who does that? Who even thought of it? It’s not a little thing. Each bite has this extra delicious component. I left feeling gratitude. It is an hour away. And not a nice ride. Interstate. Or two and a half hours if I drive back roads. To go to a sandwich shop. I will do it every few weeks until I have exhausted their large menu or have gotten tired of eating really good food in a friendly old fashioned place.

Not a good experience, totally overwhelmed when their dining room is filled, guess they aren't used to it and the quality of the food would explain why. Watched 2 elderly people get told the kitchen was closed at 7:55, they only had 6 tables left but were too backed up to take the sweet elderly couple. 8:00 at night now this poor couple had to go find someplace else to eat. Not the way to treat people. Not a place for kids either.
