Chronic Tacos

Great experience and great food. The two gentlemen behind the counter were extremely helpful as well. I'll probably be coming here again. I have to dock a star as I overheard that they were closing early. My opinion, you should never close early on a whim unless you advertise such an event a week early to give people a heads up so they don't make the drive for nothing.

Went here for lunch today. It was my first time eating at a Chronic Tacos so didn't know what to expect. It's laid out alot like Chipotle but the food is better tasting. You basically tell them step by step how/what you want on your food. Their hot sauce choices are amazing with plenty of types to pick from. Suprisingly it wasn't crowded at all for lunch (Thursday). If you like Chipotle you will love this place.

What a fantastic, flavorful dining experience! Tristan, one of the diligent, service oriented pros scored my vote with his answer to my 1st question! "We don't have wheat flour chips, but I can just make you some up right now, it will just take a minute!" He started the chips & explained the "made to order" process, while another gentleman prepared a fantastic, one-of-a-kind "fish & beef" burrito. Our hot, flavorful food was served up in minutes!

Lived in Oceanside since 1964. This is my new favorite Quick Stop. Tastiest fish taco I've had in a while in the downtown area where I live. Very generous portion and using local produce. It was a great taco for $3.50. Anywhere else around town in that area usually that would cost you $5. Not including Del Taco or Taco Bell. There is no comparison. Friendly staff, very clean, air conditioned which was a big plus for me and my buddy out walking around in the heat. The fish can be fried as they usually do it or seared. Which is a plus for me because I have health issues surrounding my heart. It's a Hallelujah moment for me because fish tacos is something I could wake up to and have for breakfast! No complaints. Chronic is a perfect name! And for a small place they have a fairly extensive menu. I'll be a regular here for sure.

Was excited to try this place, but became skeptical after reading the reviews. I decided to ignore them, and I'm very glad I did. This place is great! The portions are HUGE, the meat was flavorful, and they have good topping options :) My favorite part has to be the employees tho.The staff were all so friendly, even tho I went in 30 minutes before closing.. Will definitely eat here again and be bringing my friends.

TLDR: Glorified chipotle, but good enough. We ordered from uber eats which was great! I was excited to try this place because the store front always looks so exciting. I ordered my usual veggie burrito and it was good. I enjoyed the variety of options. My husband ordered tacos and was a little disappointed. The tortillas were not fried or heated up, they seemed to be just out of the package. Plus, the small details like the sticker reading 'pork' and not 'carnitas' pushed the fact that this is not authentic Mexican food. It is good but there are several authentic places in the area. I'm glad we tried it and may return one day.
