China Delight

We wanted something different than burger/bistro restaurants. This restaurant offers a nice change, with some tasty Chinese cuisine in the region! Decently priced with a generous portion! Obviously it’s not comparable to big city restaurants, but it’s quite an authentic Chinese restaurant in the Yosemite area! Service was also super quick and friendly! If you suddenly have a craving of Chinese food or want something different than just burger/bistro food, come check this place out!

Orange chicken was fine so was the fried rice and noodles, it was when the bbq buns came out 25 mins later they were straight out of a frozen box /microwave edition. Then the chicken and sticky rice smelled burnt and the protein inside was not chicken. Please see photos below looked like a sponge with black lining, they could have lied and said it was mushrooms that would have been believable not keep lying saying it was chicken.. Def not coming back. They wouldn’t refund the food we sent back which was a measly $6.50..still tipped but a prorated amount. The server wasn’t making the food. 2 stars ⭐️ is generous to be honest.

We were 11 people and trying to find good food after a whole day in Yosemite National Park. The restaurant advertised that it would close at 10pm but when we called them at 9:55pm they willingly agreed to serve us which was a savior! The staff was great and accommodating, the food was really good too! The Sweet and Sour and Egg Flower soup was refreshing after a long day and the Kung Pao Chicken, Fried rice and Chowmein were really good too. Would definitely recommend checking this place if you are in the area.

We found out that the chef was from Chengdu and ordered boiled beef in chili sauce. The rice was very mushy but the beef was very good. I do not get chinese restaurants who are not using expensive rice where they let it get mushy or just do not throw it away. Possibly if rice was fresh, cooked correctly people would order less?
