The Egg & I Restaurant

We have been here several times for brunch. We love the atmosphere and the food. The staff is always friendly and our orders have almost always been 100% accurate. The only time it wasn't was when they didn't cook my Lady's bacon as crisp as she prefers. Other than that we will be back many more times.

Went here for breakfast this morning. Was ignored 3 times by host/hosted; until a couple came in after us and then was seated. Sat at table smack in the middle of the restaurant for almost 20 minutes before getting up and leaving due to server after server passing by and not one even acknowledged we were there.

The service I received was spot on and deserves 5 stars. However the food does not. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with scrambled eggs. The visual was very pleasing however the taste and temperature of the food was not. The eggs were still slimy on the bottom and the gravy was luke warm as if it were thawing out. Nothing including the hashbrowns had much if any flavor even the orange juice seemed to be watered down. You get three stars for having excellent staff and a clean location but you also get 3 stars because 5 would be a lie on the flavor and quality of food. For the price it should have been a bit better...
