Ruby Tuesday

We were seated promptly, Hostess was very polite. Waited approximately 4 minutes until our server arrived to take drink orders and asked if we'd like an appetizer. 4 minutes 🤔 the restaurant was very empty. Working in this industry, I am aware that there are time limits to greet tables. After taking my order, second person in my party had salad bar, mine was just a grilled chicken salad. After 47 minutes, my husband got up and asked about my food. Within 2 minutes it was out. She forgot my baked potato. By that time, I was already disappointed in Ruby Tuesday's and wanted to leave so I asked for a togo box and paid our bill. Our server never came to check to see how things were, or to correct the problem. I normally leave 40% tip. Today she got a standard local tip, sad to say. I will not return, this was strike 3 on this establishment for me.

My family enjoyed being taken care of by Madison at the Newport, TN location. Very friendly and able to ask all our questions concerning the menu. Stopped by frequently to be sure our needs were meant. Always smiling even though she was busy running from table to table. Definitely an asset to the hospitality way of life in my opinion. I’m sure she will go far with her positive go-getter attitude.

The dining options were kinda limited at the exit we stopped at for the night. We hadn't eaten at a Ruby Tuesday in a minute. It was really good. My crispy chicken sandwich was really good. My wife's quesadilla looked good. Tall boy Miller Lites on draft and that birthday cake was the jam. Really good stuff.

Food was above average flavor, average servings. I had the baked salmon, rice pilaf and mashed potatoes. The rice was nice and subtle. The mashed potatoes might have been a little over salty but not bad. Service was slow even though there were very few people in the restaurant at the time. On the plus side, all of our drinks had the right amount of ice, instead of giving us a glass full of ice with a little bit of drink in it. We'd rather be at Cheddar's.

We hadn't been to Ruby Tuesdays for a while, so we were excited to go while going home from vacation. None of us really cared for the food we ordered, except the French fries. And it was more expensive than it worth. We could have gone to similar restaurants and gotten better food. The service was good.
