because they say it's open 24 hours and then you get there and it's closed

I was waiting to pay for a chocolate milk at the counter and the cashier was hanging out in the corner not noticing me. A couple of guys came in behind me to get cigarettes and the cashier helped one guy cut in front of me and get his cigarettes but the other gentleman pointed out that I was there first and nicely let me pay for my chocolate milk. Store also not open 24 hours, despite what 7-Eleven website and Google say. Careless employees.

Very rude female Indian worker dumped my big gulp in the sink because I didn't 4 extra pennies for the 1.06 drink. Very rude and unprofessional

7-Eleven coffee is the greatest. Exclusive is middle of the road, best for me. Brazilian? and Columbian are too strong for my taste, but many others seem to like it . I keep buying the bags so I have the same taste at home! Better than Starbucks if you ask me

They close whenever they want and will stand there looking at you. They prefer to scroll their phones in plain view and ignore you. This has happened multiple times. Amazon needs to remove their lockers from here.

I'm a loyal customer of the 711 on market street in Newark, New Jersey. In the past month alone, I've spent well over $300.
I came to the 711 location on market street in North New Jersey to exchange a damaged product. The protective seal was broken however the beverage was not touched Or consumed in any way. I asked to change the product, I presented a receipt, and was met with extreme resistance.
The clerk who originally sold me the damage product (just 2 days before) was present when I requested the exchange and still denied it - Despite even having a friendly rapport with the clerks and seeing them on almost a daily basis.
Her rebuttal was that there would be a product missing when in reality it was an even exchange. Having worked in retail as a manager, I explained the process - how the item simply needs to be damaged.
Despite also recognizing the I am a loyal steady customer of this location, she mentioned that theft is an issue - which had no relevancy to my situation. Suggesting I might be running a scam? I asked how would that benefit me? The beverage was not consumed & I wanted to exchange it for the exact same beverage with a quality seal!
To this she replied that her Manager gave strick orders not to. She had a coworker who would also not allow the exchange. They called their manager by the name of John, who confirmed that they could not exchange the product. Despite being told the consequence would involve a call to corporate office & a dispute claim of the transaction with my credit card.
All over a $2.50 juice?
In all of my years experience working for retail chains and being a patron of them, I've never experienced a large franchise like 711 being unprepared to deal with a simple customer service issue.
It really upsets me that as we are growing so tremendously in the city of Newark & embracing such positive changes, that we are recruiting managers that enforce such poor/NO customer service policy. Do tax paying residents of Newark not deserve quality customer service? Would this happen in a suburban, non-minority populated 711??? Of course not!
My complaint is not with the young women who refused the exchange, my complaint is with the manager who has not prepared them properly to deal with customer service issues and has not provided this location with proper staff. There should be at least a key holder who has the authority to provide customer service solutions.
He has not trained these young women on how to deal with these issues. For example one of them did not want to give me her name. It was also mentioned that this manager is not only enforcing poor customer service, but is also giving write-ups for any attempts to deliver quality customer service.
please do something about this manager. And be sure that the clerks' jobs are not affected by his poor management choices.
