Tonight was our first time to eat at Avo Restaurant. We were impressed by the exterior upon arrival, very attractive. Our server was extremely nice and the service was very good. Everything that we ordered was great. Really good authentic food rather than huge portions like some Italian restaurants. We very much enjoyed our experience and will return in the future.

The entire experience was great. Drinks were delicious, and every item on the menu was prepared perfectly. The meatballs, crawfish ravioli, and Brussels sprouts were favorites. The restaurant has a quiet, romantic atmosphere without being overly formal. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful meal! The service was great. David was attentive, but didn’t hover. The food was outstanding! Surprisingly, the Brussels sprouts stole the show. They were roasty toasty with a tart and savory vinaigrette. The crab cacio e pepe was so rich, but light and so full of flavor. I am so glad we dined here!

Avo is a fantastic Mediterranean restaurant! Cocktails are generous. Everything I’ve had on the menu is delicious. Service is prompt. Walking distance from most of uptown past Jefferson. 2 courses if you’re pretty hungry, and 3 courses if you’re really hungry. If you’re a loner, cocktails and a meal at the bar works well. It will not disappoint. JP.

Do yourself a favor and eat here. The food is fantastic. We got a few different apps and entrees for the table and everything was wonderful. The desserts could use improvement but otherwise, great stuff. We will certainly be back!

Avo is amazing!! I’ve not had great experiences with fresh pasta in the past, but my fettuccine was perfect. They found a way to make the food delicious but light. Our cocktails, apps, salad, entrees, and dessert were top notch. The staff was wonderful and the restaurant was beautiful. We will definitely be back!

We had an excellent dinner here on a Wednesday night. The burrata with beets might have been my favorite, the flavors were so well balanced and delicious. Our pasta dishes (gnocchi and lasagna) were excellent too. The desserts were great, I've never had zeppole so light and fluffy, little clouds I thought might float off the plate, and my husband really enjoyed his ice cream sundae. Overall a fantastic meal, a great value, and a beautiful setting, highly recommend!

Food was excellent! Service was great! The cacio e Pepe was really tasty! Burrata was very creamy! Pasta was made perfectly.
Decor was lacking and there was a weird smell… it smelled very chemically and was giving me a headache.
