That is exactly what Dunkin’ Brands, parent company of Dunkin’ Donuts, requires of its employees and partners: from the Dunkin’ Donuts shops, where coffee has become a significant part of the business, to the roasting facilities, and the Central and South American suppliers. Dunkin’ does not own any of the facilities that manufacture its coffee. But, said Hélène Marsot, Dunkin’ Brands senior manager of quality assurance for coffee and beverages, “We own the specifications. We own the quality program.”
It is a quality program that is very defined, extensive, and unique. “After 40 years in the business, I can tell you there is no one else that does the Dunkin’ program,” said Charlie Cortellini. Cortellini is vice president of research and development for Massimo Zanetti Beverage USA (MZB), whose Moonachie, N.J., plant roasts and packages Dunkin’ coffees.
It is precisely because Dunkin’ doesn’t own the facilities that the specificity of the program is critical. “We approve the process, but we are not on the production line, so we have to be very clear in our expectations,” Marsot said. “If you don’t make it clear; if you’re not signing a contract, you can’t tell them they’re not doing it (right).” And those specified processes go all the way back to the tree, with control points and verification points throughout the chain.

Worst experience ever at this Dunkin. On my way to work I ordered a seasonal drink with oatmilk, upon arrival to the store I was told the drink had been perminately discontinued and I could choose another base. I waited over 10 minutes for the new drink even though I was one of 2 people in the store. Finally at 10 minutes an employee asked me what I was waiting on, I said my coffee from the togo order, to which another employee said out loud "it's the one you were too lazy to get the oatmilk for." He said back "shut up don't say that out loud." She said "oh right sorry." To which I then took my drink hoping that was some kind of joke about him being lazy because they were friends. Turns out, no it wasn't a joke he put regular milk in my drink. How did I find out? I'm lactose intolerant and spent my entire day at work sick because he was "too lazy" to make my drink the way I asked for it. Absolutely unacceptable, people order their drinks the way they do for a reason. All I can say is thank god I wasn't allergic otherwise I would have been in the hospital.

Consistently one of the worst DD experiences ever. I just got a “cold brew” like I do everyday, at another DD, I just happened to be over that way and thought I’d try this one 1 more time, and it’s closer to a very weak ice tea. The whole experience here just stinks all 6 times I’ve been in there, too bad, it’s such a great location

The food was OK...but the staff was not helpful. Had an issue with my bill that was noticed after the deal was done, but there was no manager on duty to fix the issue...just 5 or 6 staff doing the work behind the counter. No leadership on site to take responsibility for any issues that arose.

This is the worst dunking donuts ever it takes 10 minutes for one coffee. Staff does not care about the customer and i had to ask for it every time I go in there there is a problem. Dont go to this dunking they cant even get the order right and dont order a sandwich or you will be there 30 minutes

The worst dunkin i’ve ever been too. I waited about 20 minutes for one bagel and hash browns and there weren’t even 4 people in the store. Don’t use the dunkin’ app to order here either. It’s like they don’t even bother looking at it sometimes.

Came in at 10:55 pm on February 15,2020. I understand that was right before close, but open is open. Farah and Lee were the only two on shift. They had the worst attitudes and the second we pulled into the parking lot, they started whispering to each other and glaring at us. All we ordered were a couple of frozen drinks and a couple of donuts. I guess They both weren’t happy about the time we came in so they gave us dirty looks the whole time we were there and messed up our orders. When they messed up my order and I asked for it to be fixed, they gave me an even worse attitude. I will be calling corporate about this issue. Horrible people. There was absolutely no need for the way we were treated.
