Al-amar

Had Sunday take away. Ordered a grilled mix plate and the food wasn't bad. The meat skewers were quite delicious as well as the salad and it was just one little salad portion. You also get a side of hummus and garlic sauce served with some bread as well. Thats all. Unfortunately the portion size of the dish couldn't meet my expectations of a grilled plate for $35. Other places serve nearly a double amount of food for that money. Last thing, they offer 10% for pick ups but you have to ask for it!

Usual weekend take away with a bunch of friends and thought we'd try something different for a change. Wasn't that a terrible idea! Never had such bad Lebanese food.... the dressing on the fattoush salad was so over powering you could hardly eat it, the babaganoush dip tasted like burnt snot and to make it even worse the portion size wasn't even enough to feed one person let alone a group of friends. $24 for three chicken skewers which were cold, dry and only had about 3 bites per skewer was just ridiculous. $15 for a tabouli salad which you can get from other places for just $5 seems like a rip off. We thought we might had found a new local delivery to put into our cycle but unfortunately won't be ordering again and if asked for best Lebanese will definitely be recommending tarboosh instead. Will never ever recommend this restaurant to anybody.

Hate to leave bad reviews but after giving this place three chances we just have to be honest and let other customers know. Food is great. Unfortunately by the time it arrives we are all wanting to go to bed! You order at 7pm they say it will be delivered by 8... Never has it arrived before 9pm. Staff are not apologetic. We have to chase them, they never call to say I'm sorry your meal is delayed. This is the third and last time for us. Such a shame as the food is lovely.

My wife is Lebanese so I have been to many Lebanese restaurants in recent years. Living in the Northern Beaches we were happy to find one closer to home. I genuinely thought that this was the nicest Lebanese restaurant that I had been to in Sydney to date. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the setting nice.

We ordered delivery; food was decent but customer service absolute rubbish. When you're spending over $100 on banquet meals only to be told after delivery that half the items on the menu that you were expecting are not part of the banquet any more as "they weren't making money of it" is a complete joke. Will never go back.

Great shop , nice selection of food with the customer service so friendly makes you feel like you have known them for 10 years. Seating is wonderful and the mix plate is to die for ! I high recommend everyone to try the shisha after I had the al Amar special and all I can say is wow ! I WILL BE BACK!!
