Buttercup

Just moved here from Nashville, this place is a must!! Their own take on Southern cooking and it was delicious. My wife had the halibut and she really enjoyed it. I had the fried chicken and fried green tomatoes it was also really good. Of course we ordered the fried pickles, oysters, tomato and burratta stack and cornbread to start lol we're foodies. Portions are small on the apps but that's good because I would have easily filled up with what we ordered but the portions are a good amount for just two people to share.

Decent place - very good service. The food is fresh and tasty but lacks real flair.corn bread tasted ok but seemed like it had other flour in it. Beet salad’s beet was not tasty…short rib was good and fish tacos were average. Buttermilk chicken was good. The fruit crisp was good and brownie was ok. The cocktails were not bad.

I give Buttercup 3 stars for the service, vibe and aesthetics but I wish I could be as enthusiastic about the food and drinks. The prime beef short ribs with pappardale pasta was cooked well but definitely lacked seasonings and flavor. Oyster mignonette sauce was watery/flat. The drinks were strong but not great. And both their brownie and bread pudding desserts were served room temp, dry and hard. Would’ve been nice if they were warmed. Sad to say, I don’t think I’d be going back.

Can't say enough about our experience at Buttercup. My husband and I have been wanting to check this place out for a while and finally got the chance. Everything was wonderful! The service, the food, the ambiance, the staff. A well-oiled machine. Our waiter was so accommodating. He made great recommendations and did not rush anything. It was such a relaxing dinner. We had the pleasure of meeting the chef/owner, Dora. A genuine, passionate, welcoming, talented woman. We will return, many times. Thank you for a memorable dinning experience.

Very nice, semi-intimate dining room with an open kitchen. Fun atmosphere that's loud enough so as to not be afraid to speak. Super friendly staff that did not rush us to order but brought food out in a timely manner. They might consider stocking at least a couple domestic beers and maybe a cider or two. Food was delicious. We also weren't rushed to leave. Will be back!!
