Should be zero stars. After reading reviews for this place, we were incredibly excited for these donuts. I have never tasted worse baked goods in my life. We went once and were very disappointed. The apple fritter we tried was greasy, tough, and gritty with granulated sugar. Based on the reviews, we decided it had to be an off day and we thought we should give it another try. We got a “cream”-filled donut to share. Shockingly, it was worse than before. The dough was somehow burned and undercooked at the same time. Everything was greasy and oily. The glaze was gritty and way too thick. But the worst part was that filling. Do you remember when grocery store bakeries used frosting that was made from shortening and gritty sugar? This “cream” was similar, yet somehow worse because the expectation for donut filling is so radically different. We both spit out the one bite we took. We stopped to get it on our way out of town for an extended trip or I would have taken it back. I can only conclude that the rave reviews from this place are fake because there’s no way anyone thinks these are good, let alone best ever. Some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten.

The absolute best burgers I've ever had the pleasure of eating! These burgers are practically to die for. They are literally that delicious! The service is great! Sammons' is an overall wonderful place and everyone (including the customers) are southern small town friendlier than friendly. Everyone should put Sammons' bakery in Murray, Kentucky on their bucket list. You'll not be disappointed!! Order a burger, they're the best ever made anywhere!!!

The best breakfast sandwich anywhere..period. The fresh bun...eggs cooked to order...I crave the sausage egg and cheese until I can get by there for another one. Not to mention the doughnuts etc. And it’s all served up by the nicest people. Literally the best grub in Murray and apparently a best kept secret since there are few reviews. Guys, if you gave Sammons less than 5 stars I urge you to give it another shot because I’d give it ten stars if I could.

Wonderful staff, great food everytime. An established community conscience, local establishment. Be aware they do have different hours thsn many places, so check times if you go. Also, if you want popular items need to call and order or take your chances of the item being there. For their pastries, when what they made is gone - it is gone. They do have tasty sandwiches for lunches.
