My wife and I were driving by and decided to stop in. Beautiful restaurant. Authentic Mexican atmosphere. Menu was gorgeous and we wanted to order almost everything. Service was great and friendly. We decided on sharing a Pork Verde Enchilada. It was so fresh and delicious! We had an amazing time and can’t wait to go back the next time we are around.

My boyfriend and I came here in the early afternoon for a quick lunch on our way to Bellingham. We were basically the only ones there. The food was pretty fast and the employees were friendly.
I ordered the Pollo a la Creme and he had the nachos. The red peppers in my dish were not cooked very well. They were hard and crunchu, which I did not like. But other than that we both enjoyed our food.

Best Mexican food I've found in this area. Not brilliant, but definitely better than anyplace else in the Mount Vernon/Oak Harbor/Anacortes triangle.

It's not the restaurant that I use to know. It feels like and tastes as if taco trucks are a much better way to go, hands down. That is unfortunate. Bland shredded beef chimichanga and overly cornmealed pork tamale. The pork was good but you don't get much in there.

Great place. Locally owned family run Mexican food. Sat with group of 8 plus a 2year old. They handled our orders promptly even though the place was full. When the child dumped water on the floor they were very gracious and picked up the spill while complimenting the parent on what a cute child he had.

We had a lovely time. The staff was brilliant, amazing and so kind. We were greeted with friendly smiles and kindness. Our food was hot fresh and so tasty. I cannot wait to bring friends and family to The gypsy for dinner.

The food was delicious and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Our waitress would always check to make sure we had everything we needed and made sure we were enjoying our dinner. There are many items on the menu that will suit any persons appetite. We accidentally stayed past closing and the staff did not tell us to leave, they allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. We had a great experience. I will definitely visit El Gitano in the near future!

We had an early dinner when there were few customers. The service was fast and conscientious. Hot chips and salsa arrived at our table instantly, our order of drinks, also fast. The food was abundant and nicely done. We were very happy with the experience.
