Five Loaves Cafe

We didn’t eat inside but just ordered our food at the counter. It was easy and fast. Their lunch menu was very simple. They did offer one vegan option. We liked the different options like baguette, rye bread, tortillas,… the food tasted fresh but the size of the whole baguette was extremely small. We think they want you to order a soup with it. We don’t know how they decided to ask so much. They are the upgraded version of subway and Panera bread stores. If they offered homemade bread/ baguettes we think the price asked would be totally reasonable. We don’t think we would go back a second time because for this price we can have better options and feeling full.

Service took a little long to get. However once the waitress got to me she was extremely polite, apologetic for the wait and offered great meal and drink suggestions. I had the roast beef whole sandwich and it was practically two sandwiches. It was very very delicious. I also had the raspberry Arnold Palmer that she suggested and it was very refreshing. Highly recommend this place!!

Probably my favorite spot in Mount Pleasant for lunch and dinner. While I am determined to try every restaurant in the area, I still go back to Five Loaves whenever I know I just want something delicious. They also have great drink specials and their bar is a sleeper. The roast beef sandwich and tortellini salad are my favorites.
