13 Bones

Enjoyed a great dinner with excellent service. We started with the fried mushrooms, which were great and served with ranch and horseradish. We both got the ribs and shrimp combo and were surprised at the amount of food! The ribs were fall off the bone delicious! The grilled shrimp was perfectly seasoned. So good. We ended up packing up more than half and bringing it home for another meal! Will definitely return

I have to say that I first heard about 13 bones because they catered to my niece’s wedding. They did an outstanding job, and I feel like a POS that I didn’t take down their names because they were fantastic. We ended up going the night after, and I have to say their hush puppies and Ribs and Steak were outstanding. I had an exceptional meal. I highly recommend coming here

Hubs and I stopped for a very late lunch and we’re promptly seated, and ordered dinners. He had the rib-eye and I had ribs. Both came with a beautiful house salad, strewn with Tobacco onions. How do you have tough fried onions? The flavor was great but texture of the chewy bits was off putting. Our meals came, both with baked potatoes. My Texan husband loved his steak, and I loved the ribs, which I ordered without sauce so I could really taste the pork. Thumbs up. Thumbs down on brown potatoes. Our baked potatoes were way, way over cooked. Service was excellent. If the owners would spend some down time cleaning the entry, bathrooms, and outside I would give this place four.five stars. You need a scrub brush and a little paint to perk this place up.

Nice, clean with a view of the kitchen when sitting at the bar. Good food selection and the Grilled Marinated Chicken with roasted veges was very good. 'Local' brews on tap. Service was a little slow, expect a little wait for your food but the server made up for with personality. Will definitely go back when I'm back in Mt Airey and have the chance.

We have eaten here a few times now and while the food is above average (4 stars) I don't think it's 5 stars. I had the lasagna and it was good but a little dry like it had been sitting in a warmer for a while. My wife had a salad with meat on it and she really enjoyed it. The service was absolutely 5 stars.

My husband and I travel twice a year from eastern NC to Mount Airy. We finally had dinner at 13 Bones during our recent trip. It was absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is nice, the wine was tasty, the waitress was great and the overall experience here was fantastic! Our steaks were cooked to perfection just the way we asked, the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer was incredible! Restaurant was very clean and organized. I’m leaving this review because I appreciate good, quality restaurants. They’re hard to find these days. Excellent restaurant. Now we have a favorite for our Mount Airy trips.
