Stopped by today otw back to Charlotte. I tried the shrimp soba and was hesitant to get it. Usually shrimp at these take out places ends up rubbery and tasteless. Omg the shrimp was PERFECT. Perfect texture, perfect bite and the flavor was really good. Saved in my favs and plan to stop anytime I'm headed to the beach again. Really good

This place NEVER disappoints. We will drive 30 minutes to eat here monthly. The food quality is great, and I love the shrimp sauce. The staff are all so friendly, kind, and efficient. I truly have never had any errors on our orders, and sometimes I feel like they sound complicated depending on what we get. But it’s always all in their just like we ordered. We will always make the 30 minute trip for this place, and we always enjoy it. It is one of the BEST Japanese restaurants.

Koumi is hands down the best Japanese that you will find anywhere around Monroe. The quality of food at this place is unbelievable. I have never felt disappointed while eating food from here. The Japanese they serve is unmatched. Definitely my favorite restaurant in Monroe.

This place is AWESOME! I got to the parking lot and was last in line at 8:15 PM and 15 minutes later I was picking up my food. The service was great and even after driving another 10 minutes to my house the food was still hot and really amazing!

This place serves the most amazing japanese hibachi you will be able to find within 25 miles. They use authentic ingredients & aren't in the market of overcharging customers. If you're looking to get some great quality hibachi cuisine without paying fancy dine-in prices, this is your place. I rate Kuni Express at ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5️⃣ for their super fast drive-thru times despite having Chick-fil-A lines most of the time since Covid-19. Each visit is a great experience, thanks guys! 👍👍

Overall, this place is good. Sometimes the rice can be a bland and the white (shrimp) sauce isn’t the best I’ve had but it’s still pretty good for the price. Always busy but they do a pretty good job getting you through the line.

As others have stated, the drive-thru line can get hectic. This is a shrimp and chicken combo for $12+tax which includes a salad. This is the amount of protein I received with the combo which is lacking, but it depends on how busy the restaurant is.

Haven't been in a while...called in an order and picked it up through the drive through..we got the Koumi Dinner special for two...20 bucks gets you fried rice, chicken, Steak , scallops hibachi style with vegetables, sweet carrots and choice of salad or clear soup.it comes with plenty of food for two and two of their amazing shrimp sauces!!..the food here is always cooked fresh and is delicious !!..being right on 74 in Monroe and having the drive through makes it convenient to get in and out for locals and travelers alike...if you haven't been, give it a try !!! You'll like it !😁
