We went to this place for our anniversary. Eight years ago we had our very first date in this place and I really wanted to do our anniversary in the same place. Heather was our waitress and she was unbelievable. Polite, kind, professional, you name it!!!! The environment was perfect, the music was just right, the food was perfect. What a great night!!! Thank you Dewz for making my anniversary so memorable.

Excellent service via Scott, Don't worry you'll get to know him a vibrant , intelligent and down to earth kind of guy. Did I mention our ordered plates hit it off just right with our family. For starters, we had calamari and pork belly.. A tasty side to get your palette primed. The first dish on the pics was the lamb, full of flavor and meatiness. I went for the homemade pasta with prawns which were cooked to perfection. Apologize for the blurry photo on a few of pics. I loved the seasoning and white wine and butter, I think. My wife had the salmon, she like the crusted part of the properly cooked fish with an abundance of kale. My other kid had the same homemade pasta, but the waitress had the chef replace the seafood with chicken instead. He is slightly allergic to seafood. Good job there. A surprising end to ending up in a rather plush locale. Summarize, a nice place to dine with friends and family. The friendly atmosphere with impeccable service by the staff. Reservations are recommended at dinner time. Thanks for letting us in without one. TIP: Make a point to meet the point guy.. Scott.

Below is my earlier review, but on January 10 we went back for a beer pairing event. This was fantastic. Not only was the food wonderful, but we had amazing beer. The best was the Mole Merkin, amazing cinnamon and coffee overtones paired with a tender short rib cooked to perfection. Sorry no pictures today, but the food was great. My husband had never been here before. We biked here and there was nearby bike parking. The outdoor dining was not available, but it was nice with the air conditioning. We started with the fromage plate (cheese) which came with a wine tasting. We had the house cabernet and chardonnay. Both Gallo brands and actually quite good. We both ordered beer. I enjoyed half of my citrus chicken and my husband ate all of his blue cheese crusted New York Steak. He said maybe it's the two beers, but he loved it. We brought home the fettuccine prawn dish for our son who rated it great, even eating the vegetables. We'll be back. Today returned to Dewz. I again had the cheese plate and enjoyed the William Hill Cabernet and Bridlewood Chardonnay. I had a full glass of the chardonnay with my dinner of Scallop Risotto. The scallops on top were perfectly cooked, but the ones in the risotto lacked a bit of flavor. My husband again enjoyed the steak with crispy blue cheese on top and perfect medium rare inside. He had the 8 Ball Stout beer and even I enjoyed my taste of that one. Below are today's pictures.

The inside is a great atmosphere. Exposed brick walling, red and black decor, pillows on the booth side of the tables. Upon entering is a lounge area and the bar. However, it was freezing in there. We were immediately seated and our water glasses filled. Our sever was Shauna, and she was excellent. Unable to drink any alcohol, a mocktail was created for me. I opted for Strawberry Basil yet the drink was a deep red of Strawberry with a leaf of Basil. So there was the aroma of Basil when I took a drink, but the leaves weren't muddled and incorporated into the drink. The house bread is served with a blend of Mediterranean olive oils and the olive oil had exceptional flavor. We chose the Starter Sampler, $17 a person. It came with Calamari which was served with marinara and aioli - the marinara had some spice to it and was a bit chunky. Aioli I'm not supposed to eat while pregnant but I snuck in two bites - and it was delicious. Next was Pumpkin Ravioli (2 pieces) which had a swirl of balsamic vinegar. The conflicting flavors were the perfect combination and I was pleasantly surprised I 1) liked the pumpkin and 2) enjoyed the BV with it. The third was a Pork Belly in a Korean Chili Sauce; we were warned it was Spicy and it was however the spice didn't overpower anything and still led to a great flavor. The fourth and last item was grilled Brie. Unlike traditionally Brie, wrapped in a bread, this was on top of a piece of bread that I believe she said was soaked in balsamic. It was absolutely amazing! We both got the lobster bisque and it was quite interesting how it was served. A bowl with the pieces of lobster (3 or 4 pieces at the most), some vegetables (e.g. Celery, onions) is served and then the bisque poured over top. My husband and I each chose a steak ($55 each). I chose the special of Petite Filet which was supposed to have one type of cheese on it but as the cheese wasn't pasteurized, I went with the bleu cheese since it was. My husband had a Kobe ribeye which our served said was actually crossed with Wagyu. I've never heard of that cross but I guess they could be bred together? Our sever described the ribeye as "tough" yet I think she meant to say fatty....ribeyes tend to be due to marbling yet I don't think of them as tough. Sirloins, sure. Lean New York Strips, maybe. My filet was cooked correctly and tender, yet not tender enough to cut with a fork. And the Ribeye had good flavor. I honestly wouldn't have expected the filet to cost as much as a Kobe/Wagyu steak, so the cost surprised me. Overall, neither steak entree gave me a wow-factor. For dessert, and I really wanted to try about 4 different kinds, we choose the Banana Creme Brûlée Cheesecake. The sugar is torched table side and you watch the bananas caramelize. I was utterly disappointed in this. I'm used to fluffy, creamy, heavenly cheesecake (I can make a good cheesecake! It may crack, but it's good!) yet this was more dry and almost mealy in texture. I'd have been content with a banana! The word "creme" in the description is misleading - it's truly a piece of cheesecake with sliced bananas on top and then sugar on the banana which gets torched and caramelized. I had a hard time seeing how an item was described on the menu in its real life form; almost as though the descriptions didn't match what was presented - e.g. The Brie Bread and the Pork Belly. Yet it was still delicious. And truly, almost every item was served cool to cold. I said something about the ravioli, my husband about the calamari, the pork belly was odd to eat not hot....yet cold bisque was really disappointing. So not surprised, my garlic mashed potatoes were cold too. (Shrug) I don't feel the meal was worth what we paid ($270 including tip) and I was really disappointed in the temperature of all our food; whether it was a long way from kitchen to table, the cold temperature inside the restaurant, or both I've no idea. Maybe it sat for a while before someone was able to serve it to us? But I felt it was unacceptable for almost all of our food to be cool to cold.
