Went here last Friday for a celebratory dinner and had the Zabuton Bistecca Fiorentina. One of the best steaks I've had in the Twin Cities. The service was great, the food came in a reasonable amount of time, and every aspect of the meal was exceptional.

Very interesting place. Somewhat expensive but I wasn't paying for the meal, so I didn't care. The brioche appetizer, meatballs appetizer and fried cheese risotto appetizer were excellent. I had the chicken parmesan as entree. Was good. Breading was a little overcooked in my opinion and sauce had a unique taste but still good. Cleaned my plate. Pasta dishes need some kind of bread or breadstick or maybe even recommend ordering more brioche to go with it. Server Milton was good. I had gone thru 3 skinny vodka sodas a little quickly, do he finely brought me a regular glass with one without me prompting. Nice touch Milton. Good overall evening.

I recently dined at Giulia, the Italian restaurant nestled within the charming Emery Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. The experience was a mix of highs and lows. The restaurant's ambience is undoubtedly captivating, with a beautiful setting that creates the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. Our server was attentive and provided excellent service, adding to the overall pleasant experience.
However, when it came to the food, it left me with mixed feelings. While it was undeniably good, it didn't quite reach the level of being exceptional. The menu offered a variety of Italian dishes, but the flavors, though enjoyable, didn't leave a lasting impression. This made me question the somewhat higher price point, as I expected a bit more for what I paid.
In summary, my visit to Giulia at the Emery Hotel was enjoyable, but it didn't completely wow me. I'd recommend it for a special occasion, as the ambience and service make it a suitable choice for such events. However, for regular dining, I might explore other options in the city that offer a more remarkable culinary experience!

Great food.
Great atmosphere.
Service was prompt and informative when asked about food. Thanks, Parker. 😁
The foccacia was diviiiiine.
Portion for the ravioli was small, but more than enough when splitting with the chicken parm. I'd order the ravioli again simply because they were amazing and so flavorful!

Food was good. Fungi pizza was amazing. Much bigger than we anticipated. Atmosphere was cool. Lighting could be a tad darker for dinner. Service was okay, nothing spectacular. But experience overall was good.

Really special architecture with quite a back story. The service was friendly and informative. Loved the pasta dishes and the tomato salad was just the right size for two. As a special treat we received a tour of the bank vaults and other secrets of the building. Highly recommend! I missed the name of our server but his service was over the top.

Food was amazing. Service was good but we sat at the bar. Atmosphere was pretty chill for the type of restaurant.

I think this is one of the best lesser known brunch places I've tried in Minneapolis.
It's located inside the emery hotel.
The dishes we got here were well crafted and beautiful.
The menu was a bit hard for my small brain to understand but I ended up deciphering what the french toast was and ordered that.
I was not disappointed the meal tasted delicious overall and had 10/10 presentation for a Minneapolis brunch spot.
The only criticism I have for the dish is I wish there was a little whipped butter instead of whipped sweet cream as the dish was a bit too sweet for my liking.
My friends all enjoyed their meals as well. The tiramisu pastry was beautiful and delicious! Although the cured meat Panini was Apperently just ok.
Service was great and we'll attentive to our tables needs.
Highly recommend checking out this beautiful space (and the spy house next door)

Authentic Italian in a fun & modern atmosphere. A renovated bank makes for a unique and historic spot- peak inside the private dining room and you can see the old vault! The service was wonderful– food was good.. I’ve had better Italian food in the cities but the environment definitely makes up for this. I ordered the cacio e pepe which was a favorite dish of mine when I visited Italy. It came out of the kitchen warm, not hot. This dish must be served hot! It also lacked fresh cracked pepper. Lastly, I’m very surprised they didn’t serve complementary bread to the table, would have been good with my meal. I also tried the pappardelle pasta and a pizza which were better than my meal.

Absolutely unbelievable. With modern takes on classical dishes, Giulia gave me everything I wanted in an upscale Italian dining experience and then some. The aesthetic of the restaurant is chic with historical homages and the staff is tremendous, however it’s the food that shines the most. The Suppli, Ragu, and Frangipane were each fresh, robust in flavor, and unique in experience bringing back memories of Italian food that my Mom made me growing up. Atop all of that is an excellent bar selection. I could not recommend enough and I will be back.
