Allium

Allium is a delightful little cafe-bistro conveniently located on Prospect near North Ave. Offering delicious, creative small plates, a very good wine list, and an evolving beer list, Allium is perfect for drinks after work, first dates, and small get-togethers. I particularly love their Crispy Flatbread sandwich (thinny pita? wrap? in any case, SO GOOD) with prosciutto, parmesan, rosemary flatbread, and arugula. The truffled white pizza is also die-happy quality. I would not recommend Allium for large groups (unless you make arrangements ahead of time with the proprietor).

Simply can't say enough good stuff about this spot. Small plate dinner menu is well thought out and prepared. The staff are as fun and interesting as the art and music that fills the bar, which seems to be a magnate for like-minded people, professionals, musicians, and a hot spot for foreigners due to the European-influenced menu and beer list. Plants, books, vinyl records, and outdoor seating are a plus.
