The Buffet

Went here twice during crab legs. The ordinary buffet was just the normal buffet options but the crab legs were so good! I now live in Pennsylvania and I miss this buffet. To hear it hasn't been open since 2020 is sad to hear! I was hoping my husband and I would go when we visit family in Wisconsin. Hopefully you decide to reopen!

I took a group of friends that were visiting from out of state to the buffet and was SO impressed by the food and service!! The pizza was out of this world and the Italian crust was to die for! A big plus was that everything was so clean too. I don't always like buffets but this is certainly the best and I would highly recommend. I will be back!!

i always come here for the All you can eat crab legs on Fridays. Fair warning: The lines are LONG to get in to the buffet and LONG for crab legs. You literally have to arrive early before the buffet opens at 4PM to get in line and, even then, there's a line waiting to get into the buffet. If you arrive at 4PM, the line can wind through slot machines and everything. One time we came at 5PM, didn't get in until 7:30PM, and didn't get out until 10:20PM. Arriving early is key to a good experience here on crab leg day. Last Friday I got lucky and there was literally no line to get crab legs! They brought out fresh ones and I was able to grab a plate and go straight up! Other days the crab leg line reaches the dessert section. The food here is upscale Old Country Buffett. Their desserts are amazing, especially the creme brulee. On Wednesdays and Fridays it's $35 with a fire keeper's card (which I recommend everyone to get since it's free to sign up for) and $41 without a card.

Friday night buffet! This is all the crab you can eat. Not split opened, not salty, not soggy, but whole crab legs, that crack just right. The prime rib is delicious, and it's cooked the way you like it. There's such a huge variety of really good food. The staff is very attentive, and friendly. Its a great place to gather with adult family and friends. Note: Children aren't allow. If you get caught in a long line, don't leave, it's worth the wait!

I have been wanting to try The Buffet at Potowatomi for years now, and finally had a chance to on 08/25/17! We went for the All You Can Eat Crab Legs as that is one of my all-time favorite things in the world, and I was in heaven! I could have sat and eaten a ton of those crab legs, but my friends aren't really into that sort of thing and I also wanted to try other offerings from the buffet. Overall I would say that everything was very good! I will definitely be back as soon as possible for another go at the AYCE Crab Legs!
