This place has ample exits and some outdoor dining. The openness of the dining room in connection to the bar doesn't promote an intimate environment. It's hard to have conversation due to sound levels. The staff is very courteous and timely.

Great experience... eat at the bar and bartender was great!! Super helpful and friendly... À la cart menu is fantastic, soup was very hot and all the food was tasty.

First time here. Everyone was super friendly, especially our waiter, I believe his name was Carlos. Our dinners came super quick! Steak tacos, rice, my friend had the burrito bowl - all yummy & fresh. I'll definitely be back. We also noticed how clean the bathrooms were when we were leaving - always a good sign of a clean restaurant.

Being from Texas, I take my Mexican food seriously! Botanas II did it up right. It was recommended by our Airbnb host. Really good margaritas! The only drawback was that this place was really loud. The restaurant was about half full, and you could barely carry on a conversation it was so noisy.

Though quiet when they opened, food was outstanding, service was great, and we never had to ask for a thing. Refills were brought to us before drinks ran out. Definitely will be going back.

Stopped at botanas 2 for drinks on their beautiful patio and was treated with the best pina colada I've ever had and with both a front and back patio it's the perfect spot for outdoor dining on a summer day.

Excellent Mexican restaurant on Milwaukee’s south side. I highly recommend visiting this establishment.
We visited Friday, October 9 about 8pm. We had a large party of 11 and reservations are not taken so we went later in the evening to ensure we could get seated.
Our server was awesome! She was very attentive and hospitable. We couldn’t ask for better service. Our dinner was excellent as well. The portions are large and very tasty.
So if you are looking for great service and Mexican food, give Botanas II a try.
