Slammin' Salmon

The decor of Slammin’ Salmon is simple and humble. It’s kind of a hidden gem out of the main road. The staff was not welcoming but polite to answer all our inquiries. We tried their daily special- Tempura Avocado salad, BBQ Pulled Chicken Sandwich and Pumpkin Bisque. The food was overall decent and our favorite was the Pumpkin Bisque which was creamy, rich and flavorful. The BBQ Pulled Chicken was also delicious with great portion. However, we didn’t like the Tempura Avocado which was under seasoning for us. It’s a perfect place for a quick fix with a great variety of options on the menu.

We recently hosted an intimate, six-course wine-pairing dinner, for an 80th birthday dinner at our house, and had Chef Matty do the catering. Everything about the event was SUBLIME. Prior to the evening, Chef couldn't have been more accommodating and communication with him was frequent, easy, and friendly. He paid attention to both big and small details, right down to creating individual, laminated menus for each place setting. The ingredients he procured for each of the courses were of the freshest and best qualtiy, and from them, he produced a creative, beautiful, unique, and delicious meal. (Think lobster Wellington with huge, fresh lobsters, fried, tempura mussels with a citrus dipping sauce and side of seaweed, roasted duck with a raspberry puree, oxtail consumme, quail eggs and waffle, chocolate lava cakes, etc...YUM!) Every course was perfectly paired with wine, and each course presentation was gorgeous. He brought along his maitre d', Vanessa, who was efficient, friendly, and helpful. Thanks to Chef Matty and Vanessa for a perfect evening, and a Michelin-worthy meal!!

We were sufficiently fortunate to have stumble across Slammin' Salmon on a trip around Dover, NY. We had no idea how lucky we were! The food is... really incredible. Fresh ingredients and fantastic flavors. (Those glazed carrots...! That avocado BLT!!) The folks what work there are friendly, the service is rapid, and the place is sweet inside. Treat yourself if you're up there--whether you live around there, or up for a day trip to Innisfree Garden or Dover Stone Church or... :)

Amazing seafood. Amazing sandwiches. Had the double crab cake sandwich. The fries have some kind of seasoning I’ve never had before. Makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Crab cake was so good I went back the next day and they had fresh lobster rolls. 🤤 (Fridays only I believe. Maybe Saturday. . Also grabbed some fresh potato chips with that Fry seasoning. I can’t get enough!! A+.

We've used Slammin Salmon twice, both times ordering a full meal from soup and appetizers to entrees, sides and desserts. Both times we were absolutely blown away with the quality of the food - everything was impeccably cooked, delicious, and the menu was well thought out with dishes that complimented one another. The prices are more than reasonable - especially considering the high-end quality that you receive. We will be ordering again for Christmas dinner and have recommended Slammin Salmon to everyone we know. Highly HIGHLY recommend.
