Ihop

My experience was a good one. Arrived one hour before closing to an empty restaurant (no surprise), two other customers came in after I did. Jim, the night manager, greeted me promptly and was my server; the wait staff was gone for the evening. After a brief wait my salad arrived; within 9 minutes the entree was served - the carmelized onions and mushrooms with sirloin tips tasted great. Jim checked if I was happy with the meal and we chatted briefly.The place was clean, the food was fine, the manager was friendly, attentive and professional.

Worst ever. We waited over half an hour for our food in an empty restaurant. When we approached the manager, she just said yeah, but it's coming. But when?? We had a mother with us who had to eat before her baby woke up to eat. After that, the waitress avoided us. When our food finally came, there were several things missing. We asked the manager for our check in the end and she asked it how it was. We told her it was awful. And she goes, "what was it, was the food awful?" No, the food being 40 minutes late was awful. She was very uncooperative and tried to hold back from helping us as long as she could. Finally she comp'd us, but that should've been the first thing out of her mouth when we told her we were unhappy with our wait time in an empty restaurant.

Just starve, or find another place to eat. This place has awful customer service skills. I went with my 18 month baby and husband to eat out for a quick bite. Wasn't worth it, when we arrived we came before a family of 3, guess who got seated first? I was fine with being seated second after the other family of 3 but the thing that pushed my buttons even more was that the kid that eventually seated us, asked if we'd like to have a high chair or booster? I said highchair, he says "okay ill be right back with one"... almost ten minutes later after being seated i poked my husband to go get a highchair cause our little guy was crawling everywhere by this time. Anyways, the food was good but had to wait 20 minutes for it to arrive and it wasn't even a big order seeing as my baby and I shared an entrée and my husband his own, expected it to be faster than that :/ our waiter finally arrived with our food and thank gawd my son was getting restless cause he was hungry. He asked if we needed anything else, I said ketchup he says "okay I'll be right back with that" now where have I heard that before... if you're wondering the answer is nope... never came back. only to deliver the check. We left a $2 tip our waiter seriously didn't even deserve that. He was horrible. The end. Never going back to this IHOP that's for sure, kinda heartbreaking because I never go out to eat I usually stay home and cook but today I thought it would be nice to go out :( disappointed
