Dome

This store is always popular which says plenty. Warm, friendly feeling. Sit inside or out. At tables or on more of a lounge type areas. Quick service. Average priced. The parking can be a bit of a pain is trying to park directly out the front because it's busy. The macadamia cheesecake is amazing as is the amazonian drink. I would defintely recommend this place.

Tables not cleaned properly. Top was cleaned, but not edges or under. Floors were dirty. Certainly outside areas need mop or pressure clean. Coffee was lukewarm even though we asked for extra hot, which was added to the order. Wife couldn't drink it. Was too milky. Used to be my favourite place, but current management has let it slip.

My partner and I wanted to have dinner at Midland Dome last night (Friday night) and we got there just after 5pm. As my partner's daughter had something on at the youth centre nearby until 730pm, Dome suited us. Except that when we went inside, we were greeted by a staff member who told us they were closed due to no staff. This was just after 5pm and not meant to close till at 9pm. The doors were unlocked but why not lock them and put a sign on the door to say closed? We ended up going elsewhere for dinner last night.

Food and drinks were nice, came on a day there wasn’t too many people dining but somehow they felt very understaffed as the wait to be served, the wait for our table to be cleared of others dirty dishes and the wait for our food to come out was a little bit too long. Especially when we could see that there was almost always at least one of the three staff visibly doing the bare minimum and just potting around. Other than the experience with the service, the cafe is good. Well laid out, very laid back atmosphere as you would come to expect from any DOME.
