Just WOW! Will definitely be back soon! We were lucky enough to get seated early on a Thursday night without a reservation. My boyfriend said he’d come back here for their bavette steak rather than go to a steakhouse, it was THAT good! He even ate the artichoke which is a miracle! Everything was delicious. We also enjoyed the Arroz Sec, Tomato Bread, and Mahon + Chorizo. The skin contact wine Mission was funky & delicious. Service & ambiance were super pleasant

NIU Kitchen in Downtown Miami is a hidden gem that offers a charming and romantic escape for a special celebration. This small restaurant may not boast extreme fanciness, but it more than makes up for it with its Spanish-seafood influenced cuisine and exceptional wine selection. The knowledgeable staff adds to the overall experience and is well-versed in guiding guests through the menu and wine offerings. We had the pleasure of sharing several dishes, each of which left a lasting impression. The Pa Amb Tomáque, a delightful combination of tomato, garlic, and bread, was an incredible appetizer that set the tone for the meal. The artichoke with Jamon Iberico showcased the perfect harmony of flavors, while the tender octopus leg delivered a truly satisfying seafood experience. Lastly, the Ous (eggs), a plate that defies description, provided an explosion of flavors that can only be experienced firsthand. NIU Kitchen is a must-visit for those seeking a culinary adventure filled with fantasy and an array of mouthwatering flavors. Whether it's a romantic date night or a special occasion, NIU Kitchen is sure to impress and create lasting memories.

Finally made it here after a long time wanting to come. This place is so easy to miss when you're driving or even walking so thank god for Yelp these holes in the wall are found. I also found an article on the Miami New Times about the owner and Chef and was surprised that this is Spanish food, Catalán to be specific but more of a playful take on it, says the article. I came here to try the infamous Today's Rice dish which is Chef inspired and therefore changes daily. Today's it was made with clams and it did not disappoint at all. The dish is basically a rice with the delicious broth and whatever seafood protein they add that day. Rice is cooked perfectly, with kind of a risotto consistency and it comes in a metal pot. I just couldn't get enough of it because it was that delicious and the clams were very flavorful and most importantly, fresh. Although the dish looks small when you first see it, it's not small at all. Next time I'd love to try the Ous, a popular item on the menu that also sound delicious. For dessert that had this chocolate ganache topped with small pieces of bread, like croutons almost, that had olive oil so it was sweet and salty with some crunchiness to it, really good. The service was as good as I expected it to be and the owner was very attentive as well as the waiter. I can't wait to try the rice with scallops they had last week and definitely the Ous. The joint is very small so I don't recommend large groups, keep it small.

Cozy, trendy eatery with decent service. Be aware of the incense stick burning inside the entrance near the table by the front door if you are allergic to fragrance or perfume smoke. Unfortunately, the shallow seafood paella was overly salty. But they were able to accommodate a shrimp allergy. Excellent charcoal oysters with Japanese broth, and excellent octopus carpaccio with garbanzo bean puree. Interesting cold tomato soup with Dijon ice cream. Clams are okay, nicely umami. They added bread to the order without checking with us. Great orange wine by the glass. Rich and chocolatey ganache dessert topped with crostini. I had mentioned my birthday on the Resy reservation but they didn't mention or celebrate. The bill does not include gratuity nor any pressure to tip so we left 20%. Definitely would recommend for a fun night out.

We went out for happy hour with friends and ended up staying for a three hour dinner! We had delicious appetizers such as the charred oysters ( great flavor and presentation ) and clams! The tomato bread was so crunchy and the sardine was full of flavor! We ended up splitting 3 bottles of nice Spanish white wines and the mushroom paella. Overall the dining experience was fantastic, casual yet feels like fine dining because of the excellent food, creativity in the menu, and the outstanding service! NIU kitchen is my new favorite neighborhood restaurant if you want to have a great meal and enjoy the company! Highly recommend it!
