Souper Salads

For starters, the food was decent. I do enjoy it because I can assemble my own salad as desired. I also enjoy their baked potatoes and breadsticks. There is one lady there in particular (I feel awful I did not get her name) that never stopped moving in the restaurant. She kept getting refills and cleaning and making it look the best that she could. The negatives comes from the gnats, the freshness, and the overall appearance of the restaurant. I understand gnats happen but it should be controlled. The door being slightly opened does not allow for things to stay out or for them to be controlled. The seats in the booths are duct taped to keep them together. The design has not changed any in years and the place can definitely do with a make over. The breadsticks were cold. Wasting food is bad but there should be a limit on how long something can sit out before they switch it out. I've read other reviews discussing the lack of eggs and the lack of pizza. Both were available when I went. And in times when they have not been available in the past they have been made available by simply requesting them. It is sad to see a good place go down hill but their service seems to have declined. If they aren't willing to give the place a makeover and do something to try get back on top and stay there, they should hang up their hat and get out before it totally sinks. I like the place, but I think it has to do more with loyal patronage rather than quality.

Not as good as it used to be. Hadn't been in a year or so and was disappointed in the food. Service was great but probably won't go back. The food just didn't look fresh. Chicken enchilada soup didn't have any chicken in it and the pasta in the other soup was way over cooked. Since we went on a Friday I assume the soup may have been there all week. Pizza looked awful and old like it had been reheated a time or two. Just not a good experience. I guess I should have known better when they weren't that busy at lunch time.

I and a coworker came here for lunch on a Tuesday. It wasn't crowded and after paying for our meal we could promptly proceed to the buffet style serving tables. The salad area had a very good selection of various greens, toppings of other vegetables, diced meats and several dressings. It was hard to get the amassed amount of salad and various toppings and fixin's on the medium sized plates but I managed. (Someone suggested taking two plates!) Then it was on to the soups. There wasn't a large soup selection but there would probably be something for almost everyone. There were also some tortilla chips for the Mexican style chicken soup and several other various soup "toppings". In addition, there were several dessert options present and toppings for those if one was so inclined. I had my fill and the price wasn't that bad. I'll probably return if I'm working in the area. Went for dinner, wasn't full . The salads are always fresh. The pasta, I usually get tasted spoiled. I was surprise, cause e everything is always good. But as soon as I told our waiter, they replace it . They even check all of the others pastas. They were very nice & apologize for it. I think they should have gave me my meal for free or gave me a free meal card for a later time.

Not bad for the price, they definitely have reduced the number of options on the salad bar. I was surprised at how far apart everything was spread to make it take up more space. Realistically they could have condensed it into 1/3rd the space. May as well go to a full buffet for the price, since the "Salad bar" section at most buffets have as many choices, plus you get everything else at a full buffet. I'll probably not go back...

I used to love to go here because they had a great selection but my recent visit they had fewer selections, no beets, no eggs, no peas, no cheese at all not much of a salad bar. I was told they don't include those items any more. There were also other ingredients that they no longer have and what kind of a salad bar doesn't have cheese not even for the baked potatoes and the soup was nasty. The bathroom had no toilet paper and was so gross. I would not recomend this to anyone. I was really looking forward to having lunch there with my daughter and grand daughter as this is where we had gone when we get together.

I dont usually rate businesses but this was ridiculous. The best thing in this place was the lettuce, salad toppings, fruits and the polite waitress. All the other salads looked so old to the point that the top layer and noodles where crusty and yellow due to the mayonnaise. We got there about three hours after opening wich led me to believe that they had been sitting there since opening as they also looked mostly untouched and the place was still pretty empty at the time. When my husband questioned the manager about the salads being there since opening she never gave a direct answer, and just insisted that the organic dressing they mix with it was what makes their salads and mayonnaise turn yellow. Their potatoes where old and their bean and rice, and chicken enchilada soups were super salty it almost burned to swallow. I feel like for the price they charge the least they could do is keep fresh food out. Never returning to this location.

I ate here at 11am on a Friday and some of the food tasted like left overs (rotten flavor). I hope that was because I was early and later on the food would've tasted fresher but I still feel that everything should taste fresh when they open. Other than that some of the other foods tasted great and I appreciated the large selection.
