Vic's

Best breakfast in town. Burgers are great. Chicken is fantastic. You can get a plate lunch or order from the menu. This place is usually crowded and that's for a reason. For the money the lunch plates are the best value. You can choose 1 of 3 meats, and 2 of the many vegetables. Biscuit or corn bread, dessert and drink. If the, almost always full, parking lot doesn't tell you how good the food is, just try it. Only negative is, the drive thru can be a little slow, but they're usually pretty busy so this is to be expected.

Ate at vics yesterday for breakfast food was Great! service was outstanding! The manager Kathy was very nice she took my order, fixed my food and brought it out to the table to my family and I. She was very busy but she managed to do the same for the other customers as well. Needs a raise don't see how she manage to keep up will the demands of all the customers and still serve great food. Will be back to see Kathy again soon.

We've eaten here several times and found food to be pretty good especially their breakfast. We've had their burger combos at lunch and while the burgers were okay the onion rings were the best I'd ever had. I have recommended this place to several people based on how good their onion rings were. Boy, were are we disappointed today! The burgers were way over cooked, dry, and not very warm. The onion rings were cold and rubbery. I think it will be a very long time before we go back to Vic's.

if it is busy, the buffet is an assembly life of hurry up and go through. A SMALL menu is posted of what is on the buffet, but you still want to look and decide. the server i had the other day was apparently tired. It is good food and worth going back for and they are always busy at lunch time. i will return for the food. thanks

I have eaten at the store in Laurel so when I saw that the KFC on 8th St in Meridian had been replaced with a Vic's I turned in. The place is looked very clean. I happened to choose a table in the section that had been cleaned and the lights turned off. I had to walk through the dining room where other customers were seated. The floor and empty tables were all clean. One thing I did notice about the table at which I was sitting bears noting. Although the top of the table and the chair seats were clean, the edge of the table top had ketchup or some other red sauce spilled down the side where I was sitting. The food was cooked well as I would expect it to be and the servings were adequate. I had mashed potatoes instead of fries and also had fried okra with my fried chicken strips and biscuit. What more could a Southern girl ask? My only negative comments about the food would be (1) I like the breading on my fried chicken strips to be a shade browner and (2) there was no salt or black pepper in the mashed potatoes.

I went to Vic’s for the first time and ordered a chicken fried steak sandwich. The service was OK. The food was mediocre at best. The chicken fried steak turned out to be a frozen patty that was deep fried and warped. I was expecting a fresh piece of meat since I was led by others to believe that Vic’s has good food. The chicken fried steak sandwich was very disappointing. The tater tots were OK but, were unseasoned. I also ordered a side of gravy that I thought would be white gravy since it was recommended to go with the chicken fried steak. It was instead lumpy brown gravy that was not properly mixed. Gravy from a jar would have been better. Not interested in going back.
