Amazing food! Atmosphere was fantastic as well. This restaurant really captures exactly what you are trying to experience when traveling, which is a genuine and pleasant dining experience sprinkled with local culture. Londa, our waitress, was fantastic and met every single need. We ordered the specials she recommended and we were thrilled with the outcome. Must try the fried green tomatoes 1870! This is a must see/stop on your travels.

Really neat place to hang out and eat in downtown Meridian. We were passing through from out of state. We enjoyed the lobster and shrimp spring rolls. I had chicken Alfredo and it was okay. My wife enjoyed blue cheese burger with bacon and fried green tomato. She really enjoyed it. We were there on a Saturday night. It was not too crowded. Service was good. They also give you some peanut butter and crackers to snack on.

We were traveling to Louisiana and this was our hangry stop aka eat now or cry stage..lol. We drove past the restaurant and looked at the reviews. One review stood out to us so we decided to give it a try. The service was delightful. Our waitress Amanda was pleasant, friendly and professional. The food was delicious. The restaurant's decor was nice. I loved the art on the walls. Plus, if you love to reminisce, there's peanut butter and crackers on the tables.

We love this restaurant! The food is excellent and the service is wonderful. Today our table enjoyed stuffed French toast, southern breakfast, quich Lorraine, grillades and grits, and the Weidmanm's grilled salmon salad (literally the best salad I've had in some time!). The portions are bountiful, you will not leave hungry.

My husband took me on a date to Meridian to Weidmann's, after hearing it was the oldest restaurant in Mississippi. We traveled about an hour and forty five minutes to get there. Listen, they did not disappoint. So worth it! Their service was awesome! Their servers were great at making sure we had everything we needed and were so sweet. We sat at the balcony, which gives a great view of downtown. The menu had so much to offer. I had the crab cakes over fried green tomatoes with fruit and my husband had the blue cheese bacon burger. Absolutely delicious! The place has a long history and seems to be a staple in the community. Check them out, you'll love them!

Named the “oldest restaurant in Mississippi “ After soo many recommendations from locals in the area, i had to come try this place for myself. Boy was i glad i did. Ordered the fried green tomatoes and the bleu cheese burger. The quality of the ingredients is what stood out the most! Couple that with great flavors and amazing service…..this was my favorite place in Meridian MS. If you are visiting, you cannot leave without coming here first. Truly an amazing restaurant. Oh and ask about the history of the peanut butter on the tables
