Denny's

I haven't been to Denny's in years but thought I'd give it another try , I usually don't have a great experience, we went on a double date and ordered nachos, pancakes and a club sandwich. The wait time wasn't bad but we were brought the wrong food twice. And the nachos were basically handfuls of chips with barely melted cheese. I'm sorry to say I wont be returning.

Never had any issues here till a week ago. The person who sat us down, wasn't exactly friendly..Lisa is her name. Getting drinks wasn't so bad, after ordering. She never refilled our drinks. Our orders were delivered by 2 other workers, while she stood behind them. After other her coworkers left, we asked for condiments: salt/pepper, Tabasco, syrup, etc.. That set her off, walking away we heard her mumble loudly that it wasn't her job to get condiments. She returns with condiments quite a bit later, after my friends pancakes were completely cold. An old gentleman had sat in a booth behind me, he asked if he could order a drink? She replied, saying it wasn't her job and to ask another waitress.. Ridiculous!!! I refused to tip her and dipped other waitress and cashier.

For the first time in years I was extremely impressed with our server. I would like to thank You Gabriel for your amazing charisma and full attention. Your ability to handle the constant needs of others, difficult customers,and multiple task completion is above and beyond dedication and your true heroism is an American triumph

Don't bother ordering on line. Or eating it. 20 minute lead time to pick up an online order, OK. Arrived a few minutes early (only a few) to make sure breakfast was still hot. Then waited 13 minutes. It would have been faster if I ordered when I got there. But that should mean hot, fresh food, right? Ha! You forget this is Denny's. ROCK HARD biscuits, half the hash browns are burned and cold. Not worth the money, not worth my time.

Always understaffed. ALWAYS OUT OF EVERY FOOD ITEM. They think it’s okay to substitute your items with out asking you I ordered apple slices for my daughter and she got a FROZEN Carmel apple pie filling of some sort. Not apple slices. Happened again with the chicken strips we got like wings instead but had to pay the higher price of the strips. Also again with the broccoli. Paid more to get it and got a mushroom and bell pepper mixture that was soaked in oil. But was charged for the broccoli. Idk who is running the place because it needs some serious help. Also once tried to place a Togo pick up order for a later pick up and they told me no problem just call back when your ready to pick up so I called and they told me they were no longer accepting orders.... it was 8:45.... they don’t close till 10. But if we wanted to dine in we were welcome to? 🥴🥴🥴 like what?

Denny’s you should be ashamed. Soliciting five star Google reviews is misleading to your customers that utilize Google reviews to determine where they will dine. My family’s visit to the Denny’s in Meridian was met with over an hour’s wait to finally receive our food. The restaurant was not busy, so I don’t know what the hold up was. Our server, however, was pleasant, so I decided not to complain. As we were finishing up our food, we were approached and told that if we left a five star review we could have a free dessert or discount. I declined, stating that we were in a hurry and that we wouldn’t have time to leave a review. As a business owner myself, I am appalled by your dishonest approach. Upon looking over these reviews, it is easy to see that this tactic has been employed for quite some time, as the amount of five star reviews each day somehow doesn’t make sense when the positive reviews are stating the opposite of what the negative reviews are saying. There are also other reviews that state they were offered $5 off of their meals if they left a five star reviews. Instead of using dishonest tactics to get dirty five star reviews in hopes that they will somehow cancel out the very concerning low star reviews, why not just address the core reason that you have so many unhappy guests and improve on that? Google reviews become pointless for customers to utilize if they cannot trust that reviews are legitimate. It also goes against their policy. I will be reporting this. If you want a five star reputation like many other local restaurants, then put in the work to earn it like they have had to.
