The Reef

Homey, comfortable atmosphere and serves a great lunch. Baked French onion soup to die for and I consider myself a connoisseur of that dish — this particular style easily equals The Retreat and Phoebe’s, which both have had outstanding French onion soup for many decades! My Reuben was hot, perfectly done and large enough to take home half and have it for dinner.

The service was absolutely top notch. We ordered nachos and bacon wrapped scallops as appetizers. I would rate the nachos as a 3. The cheese wasn't melted, but it's more than that, that makes it not a 5, just can't put my finger on it. The bacon wrapped scallops were outstanding. I ordered the Reuben sandwich and it came with chips. The Reuben was perfect. I didn't care for the chips. The chips are thick versions of what you would consider a normal potato chip and they are cooked to the point of being browned throughout and then served with what I think was very finely ground Parmesan with pepper mixed in on top of them. I'm sure that a lot of people like these. Just not me.

Excellent food and a great variety of choices offering something for everyone. Very friendly and professional staff, all providing fast and accurate service, without exception, each and every time I’ve been there. It’s a spacious place, allowing lots of room around the bar, with separate booths away from the bar if you’re not looking to eat or drink right at the bar. They sometimes have Karaoke from a guy named Piper, who is also very friendly and professional, and tunes his equipment extremely well and custom tunes it to each singer when needed, so whether the person sings quietly or loudly, they each sound like a rock star. My husband, baby and I went to The Reef and had a wonderful lunch. The food was absolutely amazing, the restaurant beautiful and clean, and our waiter Mike was attentive and kind. I am a wheelchair user and the parking, curb/stair free entrance and bathroom were all great. We already can’t wait to go back!
