Stays open late, souvlaki and chips were fresh. There's pizza hamburgers. Alot of college kids seem to hang out here so it gives a great colourful atmosphere

Had a slice of pizza and a mixed HSP chicken/lamb. The pizza was delicious and the HSP was great! The chicken was tasty and the lamb was proper lamb not sausage meat. If you’re after a no fuss meal around Lygon St and Carlton give it a try.

HSP was amazing altho $17 for a medium which would have fit in a small box wasn't too pleasing. Beautiful flavours just not too generous on portion size . Will try again tho.

Ordered a spaghetti carbonara to takeaway. The spaghetti was a bit undercooked but the sauce was good so I thought I’d let it pass, until I found a hair in my food. Certainly not my hair because mine is straight and pink, while the hair I found was black and curly. Just moved here so I wanted to try out new places but now I know where to NOT go to!

Ordered their small halal snack pack (HSP); classic chips, chicken and lots of sauce. The meat was really tender and juicy compared to, say, the university HSP. They put some cheese on top which is a nice little finishing touch.

This cafe has been here for a long time - over decades I believe. It provides affordable, fresh food to those who cannot afford to eat in these now very posh and expensive cafes and restaurants in Carlton. If you don't mind the cafeteria style seating and desperate for a bargain, quick bite before a discount movie session at Nova. This is perfect - I just had one slice of the most juicy and tasty Hawaiian pizza, and one slice of a bit dry but hearty vegetarian pizza at only $3.50 each. You can't find any home made style pizza at this price anymore. And the service is friendly and prompt, this will be my stable cheap eat in Carlton now 😊.

My friends and I visited this cafe yesterday and we were impressed! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, wait time was not too long and needless to say, the food was amazing! Will definitely return.

We always go here on Thursday as they offer 1/2 price pizzas and pastas. We never tried their pasta, but they have pretty good pizzas. Our favorites are Bbq lamb and intersection special pizzas with extra dimsims and potato cakes! 2 small pizzas will definitely feed both of us.

This place has been around for at least 18 years. Only came here for their kebabs when I cannot get foods elsewhere. Their pizza isn't cheap. Catered mainly to uni students.

Ahhhh Intys... Look, this is never going to be a gourmet experience. But sometimes when you're drunk and it's 2am, you need somewhere that will serve you copious amounts of hot grease that satisfies you in a visceral, immediate way. This is your place. Cheap, open late and more homely than Maccas. Solid place for a sneaky end of a long night feed.

Hot potato hot potato. The potato cakes were cheap and I ate 10 of them on the way back from the cinema Nova with my sister. I saw Nightcrawler and I think that main guy needs to eat a lot of potato cakes as well. Too skinny. Sister thinks he is a hottie though.

Horrible!. Waited 40 minutes for a pizza. The guy who took our order Alex, failed to put in our order. I never regretted coming here before, but now I will think twice before I come. My time is precious, I got an upgrade, but that's not what I want. I want my pizza on time. I waited like a fool. When I got the pizza 40 minutes after my initial order, came back home to a salty pizza. The tomato pizza sauce was so salty that we found it difficult to eat. It was a horrible pizza experience.

Bad staff experience, worst place to be. I went to have pizza at this place, since its cheaper than other places, the pizza was ok. I was left with 2 pieces and wanted to pack them in a small container (they have paper containers), so I asked a person who looked to me like the owner for a container. Unfortuantely the guy was very very ill-mannered and he said straight to me that we gave you a pizza box and the paper container (not even 5c worth) doesnt come in the price you paid. That was such a rude way to deal with your customers especially with females, and I never had this rudeness from any owner or staff anywhere else in the world. Nasty owner, but the rest of the staff was ok, however when they give you sauces they keep an eye on u and insist to give it back to them in 2 minutes (like someone would run away with them).

Macdonalds is better, ordered and the fish and chips tasted like rubber, the place looks like it's from the 70s and not in a good way. No table service or waiting what so ever. Save you're money, complete rubbish.

Had the pollocaldo sauce pasta on a Thursday night for $7. Even it's already half priced, doesn't worth the price at all!<br/>The homemade Nepolian sauce is the tomato sauce from woolies across the street, chicken inside is ok though.<br/>Worst pasta I have had on lygon street, if you go for quality, go elsewhere!

Good for late nights. Great for cheap pizza and late night food. Love that they deliver too. Very convenient. Staff have always been pleasant when I've been there. Don't expect gourmet though.

We get pizza from the Intersection Cafe every Thursday night when all their pizza and pasta is half price ($7.50 for a large pizza) and its not designed to be gourmet. It's a cheap feed. Great for students and low budget. The pizzas are usually pretty bland but wash it down with a soft drink and its the cheapest pizza you'll find in the area.

Never once been let down by them. Their burgers are $10, not $18 as mentioned in another review. Their chips are not great, but they're not bad. Spring roll is delicious. Steak sandwich and burgers are always good and their pizza is yummy! They are cheap and deliver untl the early hours of the morning. Always love intersection.

One of the first things you notice about Intersection Cafe (or Inty’s as my friends and I affectionately refer to it) is the fact that it doesn’t quite fit in with its surroundings. Sitting on the prime real estate that is the corner of Elgin Street and Lygon Street, you’d expect an expensive but authentic Italian restaurant established in the Good Ol’ Days but what you get is quite different. This is far from authentic and unquestionably drunk food. It’s the place that you go on the way back from the local pub, Pugg Mahones, after having a few too many Guiness’ and in dire need of greasy pizza goodness.

Intersection Cafe. We get their pizzas overnight at work and they are awesome. Cheap, great deals, tasty and very quick delivery, under 30 mins! Lovely staff too!!

Worst place to eat. This place is the worst place to send you'r money the delivery takes over 2 hours to arrive [ slack ] the burger and chips i recived after a 2 hour wait was cold.. Undercooked and raw i asked for my money back and they will not refund it im shooked that it cost me $18 for a burger raw chips undercooked and a drink
