Customer service was clunky and inefficient. I acknowledge staff shortages due to covid but even when we did get served it was difficult and orders were slow. We both had the eggs Benedict with hash browns. The hash browns were bland and oily, the poached eggs and side of bacon were good but this was really let down by the hash browns and the general service. Overall, there are better places at the same price point in my opinion. It’s a shame as this place used to be a must visit.

I’m really unhappy with the way I was spoken to this afternoon, unfortunately. I’ve been here a couple of times previously and it was nice but that was a while ago now. I came in here at about 2:30, just wanting a small takeaway milkshake after work, only for the young worker at the counter to tell me they were only doing takeaway orders, despite two customers sitting down but whatever, I guess. After serving me, the worker told me to “be earlier next time”. I’m not a mind reader. And as far as I’m concerned, 2:30 is a reasonable time to grab a hot drink. If you’re only doing takeaway orders at 2:30 for whatever reason, that’s fine, but you do not need to be rude about it. I will not be back.
