The food was authentic and delicious except for a couple dishes (fried bread stick 油条;Brown sugar rice cake 糍粑). Waiting staff lacks experience. Overall good experience overall, sat and sun offer additional food options

After a long overwhelming Friday I went to meet my Beau who was finishing up work above this restaurant. He had already selected some seats at the bar for a quick bite. I love the decor of this place they also have a fully stocked bar. Between my Beau's disappearing act going back and forth to finish his job and coming back to the bar to spend time with me I spent a lot of time talking to the owner until he was done, Who was playing pseudo bartender in order to train one of her employees. She was an absolute pleasure to speak to while passing the time. I had the spicy wonton consisting of ground pork, ginger, scallion, and hot oil which was very tasty. (I love spice😋) I paired it with a lemon drop martini. My boyfriend had the spiced beef shank which he found different but very tasty alongside that he tried their old-fashioned in which he was pleased with. The rest of the staff that we encountered were very attentive an extremely polite I would definitely patronize this location again.

Really good authentic Chinese food. The numbing heat was faithfully recreated to resemble Sichuanese cuisine, something rare in the US. The Mapo Tofu, Green Beans and Dandan Noodles are by far the best dishes on the menu. Good, friendly service and tasteful decor.

I've eaten the lunch special a few times, and both the Kung Pao Chicken and the Pork and Tofu were great! The seats require exquisite posture, but the staff is always warm and helpful. I'm glad it was so close by!

Can’t believe they have brunch menu now. You can order food either from Northeast China like Tianjin-style jianbing or from Szechuan like hot and sour rice noodles. They do serve authentic Chinese food! I know most of people who are used to Americanized Chinese food may think authentic version tastes different. But actually the chief can do both types, you just need to ask. Let me share one story. Several weeks ago, I ordered Kongpao chicken through Uber eats without mentioning “authentic Chinese style”. When the food was delivered, I was kinda shocked, isn’t it the same Kongpao chicken I had inside the restaurant? The authentic version is cooked with peanuts and dried chillies, while the Americanized one used fresh peppers and onions. One more time, just remember to ask if you wanna try authentic ones when you order.

Authentic and delicious. I've been to half a dozen restaurants like this with my Chinese coworker and she thinks this one is by far the best. Ordered a soup and sichuan style chicken for takeout. Food arrived on time and was excellent. Just the right amount of heat from the peppercorns. Peppers were perfectly cooked, a nice dark red without being burned. Very well prepared and price was reasonable.

The private party room looks well. Service is good and food is delicious. I think the Chinese food here is better than its sushi.

Asian Origin is a good all around Asian place. It is less Americanized than other area restaurants but doesn't approach authentic in the Flushing NY sense. That being said Flushing is far from McLean.
What sets Asian Origin apart is they offer some good food at good prices and some genuine spicy Chinese fare. Also there is a direct relationship between the customer and the kitchen. Ordering something not on the menu could be possible or at least getting a specific amount of twist is possible unlike some chain places where everything is predictable and premade.
If you are with a group order for the whole table and share. Especially try the fish here.
Evenings are less crowded than the weekday lunch crowd.

This place is really close to actual authentic Chinese food. You can take my word for it as a Chinese American that's only been to China once. Plus when I went there were no white people or fortune cookies. That's gotta mean something.
For their wonton they give enough to match the $8 price but they were about average quality. Unless you really like wonton it's an easy skipperino.
Their $38 fish entree that comes in three flavors is the main drae for the store and its what "90% of the Chinese people order" as said by my CHINESE waitress in CHINESE(yea besides the food this place also has authentic Chinese staff). The fish was super good and definitely something you want to order your first visit as it's an authentic Chinese fish cooked in an authentic Chinese dish.
Apparently they also have a secret Chinese menu and we ordered some super spicy numbing frog dish. It was an incredibly well crafted dish. On top it looked like they just poured a mountain of hot diced chili peppers but underneath was a very warm broth with frog chunks, and underneath THAT were even more vegetables. Somehow there was a gradient going from top to bottom of being spicy to being not spicy but numbing. It was definitely interesting to eat.

Reasonable priced authentic Chinese food. Delivery service is based on availability, around 35 min; I’m friend with one of the owners but this review is totally unbiased. Kung Pao Chicken and Chongqing spicy diced chicken yum yum~ you can tell they put a lot of thoughts into it just by the bags and utensils they use.
