Max & Erma's

One of the worst experiences I have ever had at Max and Erma's. I sat at the bar during lunch and waited over 10 minutes to place my order. The food took 20 minutes to come out. When it came out I struggled cutting and eating the over cooked chicken breast. It was so try and hard I had to request BBQ sauce to make it palliatible. The rice and broccoli however were both good. When I finished I waited another 10 minutes to get my check. The server was nice and pleasant but seemed distracted by her other tables on the other side of the bar. She was rarely seen which explains why we waited so long.

I'm very disappointed in this restaurant. Floors were dirty, crumbs from cleaning the tables were all over the seat, (I had to swipe away)the seat next to us had some type of dried food dripping down the back and side, service was slow and it wasn't even busy(around 2pm we arrived), our food was lukewarm and cold in other areas.The ladies room floor was filthy, all three toilets had urine, dirt, and whatever else all around the base of them, and the floors were filthy. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because we were greeted in a friendly way(1 star for her) and the waitress was nice. (1star for her)

We have in the past had wonderful experiences at Max & Erma's, but sadly haven't had them in recent visits. A very bloody burger that was meant to be medium well (with American cheese instead of cheddar), bland mac and cheese and the saddest, most overbaked cookie I have had in a long time. Pictures don't do it justice, but I couldn't bite into it. Our server was friendly, when she was available, but made us feel rushed. That burger though, I couldn't eat it. So soggy.

Got right in when they opened at 11. Seated promptly. Waitress got our drinks quickly. I ordered the meatloaf with onion rings and tater tots. Both my sides were excellent. The onion rings weren't over breaded and super crunchy. The tater tots were cooked flawless also. The meatloaf is a different texture and comes grilled. The loaf itself was good but I didn't like the sauce at all. Left a bitter taste in my mouth. Can't fault the restaurant for me not liking the taste. Drinks were promptly filled any time they got low.
