They put a lot of money into this museum and it shows. There weren’t many people here though. It was almost empty except for me and a 4th grade field trip. I enjoyed my visit and recommend the movie about the Pequot War. Interesting history. The tower had a nice view also.

Very large museum. Excellent dioramas with life size subjects. Excellent displays and videos. Take a map. You're going to need it. Exit sign does not take you to main entrance. As a handicapped person I walked all around, searching for the way out. No staff to help you. Up and down and hard to find proper exit.

I have been excited to visit for a year or two now, but hadn't had the chance since it's a two-hour Drive. Completely worth it and far exceeded expectations. The displays are so creative and impactful. The geology at the beginning was amazing! Kids loved it, and reported way better than Mystic Aquarium.

What a fabulous experience I had with my friend. I want to thank tour guide, Matthew Pina. He was so passionate about presenting insight and educating about his own ancestry while connecting past to present with the Pequot Nation. Happy 25th Anniversary to the museum and all those who continue to honor history and keep it alive. I most enjoyed the design of the museum and how nature is woven into every twist and turn. The new exhibit they are hosting, which highlights the 13 moons, is a must see. Kudos to guide Matthew as he not only is a fabulous representative, but a skilled artist as well. His art work, in the new exhibit, is a must see! My take away left me feeling more connected to our Mother Earth and educated on how skilled indigenous ancestors are. I also have a new appreciation learning how wampum is crafted and how long it takes to make just one bead. I think all ages would benefit from visiting the museum. Looking forward to going back again soon, so much more to see. I know they are working to make updates, my only constructive criticism would be to update TV monitors. Best, Stacy

Easily one of the most interesting, engaging museums I've been to in a long time. The star of the show is the lifelike sculptures and dioramas, making you feel like you are truly walking through a moment in Pequot history. There is also a fascinating short film that can be watched near the end about the Pequot War, so I recommend aiming to make one of the showings! (The movie seems to play at 11:00AM, 1:00PM, and 3:00PM. I made the last showing.) Overall, you can easily spend hours exploring what this museum has to offer, and I recommend that you do!

First time visiting the Pequot Museum and I look forward to coming back to finish seeing the parts that we missed (left early because some in our party were hungry). Would be great to check out the view from the observation tower in the fall before the leaves fall.

Beautiful museum. One of my favorite exhibits was of native plants and wildlife. Lots to see. One day was not enough, I will be purchasing a membership. Thank you for all you do in preserving and sharing history and culture. :-)

Came here on a Wednesday and there was barely anyone there! Gave me the perfect chance to enjoy all the exhibits and informational history that is right here in our backyard. Great displays and depictions of what life would have looked like. Very primitive and realistic just like I remember when I visited as I child. The only downfall was the observation tower was broken, the escalator that brings you to the glacier exhibits was out of order and the store didn’t have replica wampum like I remember. Takes away from the experience in my opinion
