Applebee's

02/05/2022, 11:39pm. Giving two stars because of the waitress, she was helpful and nice (Darion). We (group of 4) arrived 11:20, after working an 11hr shift on a Saturday night. I understand kitchen closes, and staff has to clean up for the night, but in NO WAY should the manager (Chad) ever push their staff to rush their customers. Last call for alcohol was at 11:35, because staff wanted to go home. This restaurant closes at 12. When we sat down, the manager (Chad) was in the cooking area shaking his head at our group that just sat down As a long-time Marshall resident and years of coming to my hometown Applebee's, I had never felt so unwelcomed as I did tonight. This is not the first time my group of coworkers come at this hour on a Friday or Saturday. We've walked in at 11:45 one time because we weren't sure of closing time, and we were still greeted nicely and not rushed. But left rather quickly.

This place was pretty good, the waitress was amazing, probably the sweetest lady ever. But now to the point, I had a salad, don’t get me wrong, it was amazing, except for the ant on my plate, yes it was alive as-well. I really don’t wanna be a “Karen” because honestly it’s not a big deal, sometimes bugs want to get in the way of things, but it did kinda disgust me. Please make sure you guys are cleaning your machines (I’m guessing?) properly. Also, the wait time was amazing! It wasn’t to long of a wait, but also not to short. Applebees is probably a 3.5 but obviously you can’t do half’s on here so I’ll give it a three.

Server was lacking. We waited 20 + minutes for mozz sticks and only got those after asking about them when she dropped off the apps to a table sat 10 minutes after we ordered and was told sorry, I'll get you the 10% discount. Was charged $4 for a small dish of goopy paste they call 4 cheese Mac n cheese. Mashed potatoes were cold. Had to ask for refills when she stopped at table and clearly saw the empty glasses and asked if we needed anything else. Also had to wait for our check until she dropped the check off at the other table. If it had been busy, I could've understood but they weren't. Never saw a manager, which was odd considering we did in fact get the 10%.

We did eat our meals, but food was just mediocre. Our appetizer plates came to us dirty, by the time I got up, got someone to help me get new plates our appetizers were cold. When the boy brought the plates to me he had his hand all over the base of the top plate. I was pretty frustrated I just took them, and thanked him . It's the 3rd time in a row we have had issues with Applebee's in Marshall. Won't be back again.

We sure were happy to find them open on Christmas eve as we were hungry. 5 stars for that!! But when we got the bill we weren't pleased at all. Menu prices were on the menu example slab of ribs 22.49 I guess that was for the ribs only because they charged us for 4 mashed potatoes and 1 broccoli and 2 drinks and my steak.1 star for that!!
