The Westender

It's a nice clean place with plenty of space dart boards and Keno. Haven't been there in a couple of years. The two waitresses we're very nice but it was a bit slow getting our first drinks after being there for 10 minutes. I just got a basic Burger which was decent with a good amount of extra toppings on top but the onion rings were burned.

I just returned from a Friday lunch at the Westender. My co-worker and I had a great meal. He had the Buffalo wings and fries and I had the Caprese Chicken sandwich with rice pilaf. The sandwich was excellent and the mozzarella was fresh and the pesto was well spread over the fresh bakery bun. The soda was a little on the flat side which I like, but some might want to order something that comes in a bottle. The server was friendly and allowed us to eat without trying to rush us off the table. We ate outside on the patio and it was fantastic. Good music and the weather was about 82 degrees and sunny with a nice umbrella and above that a canopy which made sure neither of us was in direct sun. I had not been there since Covid-19 and had forgotten how nice it was to sit outside. I will definitely run.

This spot is on life support, barely breathing... It's too bad, as they had promise... Tried them 3 times, but they just don't have it... 8 people in the restaurant tonight and we were told that the grill was "too backed up" for us to place an order. I get that restaurants are struggling to obtain staffing, but just tell me that instead of making up a B.S. story...

We (party of four) went here on a Saturday night and had the worst dining experience we've had in years. The restaurant was understaffed and untrained, which would be fine, but the owner was drunk and complained (mixed with an unneeded apology) to us and to at least three other groups about it. During one of those conversations, we heard him say to a guy in a large party "if you don't like the wait, then go somewhere else, but you won't get served there either." The owner also berated a new employee in front of customers. And, as I was walking out, the owner said "nice ugly shorts." If the owner wasn't there, the whole restaurant would have been happier. Putting his egregious behavior aside, our food was burnt and undercooked (imagine nachos that were left in the oven too long and undercooked chicken added on afterwards). Steer clear unless things dramatically change for the better.
