Barber Bistro

I disliked it so much that I'm still in the restaurant while I write this review. So we walked in, weren't greeted by anyone, then a nice tatted lady told us that we could seat ourselves. We did that. We sat close to bar in the first booth. It took about 5- 7 minutes for somebody to come say hello. The waitress introduced herself and asked for our order, even though we didn't have a menu. She brought back a table tent with a QR code on it. The menu was over priced. So I decided to order the $10 crab leg special and $5 Margarita that's displayed on the special board to the right of the door when you walk in. It lists the weekly food specials w/o any other info. Remember this for later! So I order the special at 10:35... the waitress comes back "like sorry that ended at 10pm" ummmm ok.... but where are the rules listed for these specials ? Nowhere, is where. So since i can't order the crab leg special, I order the regular crab leg boil , brussel sprouts and fries. Here comes the waitress 3 minutes later...soooo yeah wen outta crab legs, want something else? 😩 cool how's the surf & turf? It's great but the one with the lamb chops are better. So I take her suggestion and order the lamb chops, my boyfriend orders the blackend catfish and shrimp with dirty rice. About 20 min later the food comes out and it looks amazing...however, it was far from amazing. My boyfriend meal turned out ok, good flavor and all, but the lamb chops for my meal was not seasoned at all. They literally took the lamb chops and just slapped them on the grill until they were charred. It taste as if the meat was more burnt than cooked. Completely different from the catfish dish. Ambiance- they do seem to have fun here in on Tuesday night though. The staff seems to truly love each other. So my advice is to come for the fun but not the food!

My husband was looking for a barbershop when we drove in from out of town, we came across Barber Bistro and fell in love once we pulled up outside. The atmosphere was great, nice and clean inside. Cool stop to get a cut, have a drink, and vibe to some music. We didn't eat anything but I sat at the bar while I waited for my husband to finish cutting his hair. The bartender was very nice and welcoming. The bar counter wasn't clean which was a turn off, but from what I could see people were being served in a timely manner and enjoying their fried snow crab legs. We will be back for some food and drinks. Loved the vibe!

Much like the other reviews mentioned service is slow when you first arrive. I would say it’s a lack of proper management and organization. You are able to seat yourself, and then flag down a server. After about 25 minutes after speaking to a manager (no help) we were able to get Kiki’s attention. She was a sweetheart and provided good service and apologized for the delay. The dj was really the saving grace for this place though because the vibe provided a distraction from the initial delay of service and the wait for food. The food and drinks were ok. We went on a Tuesday and they had ran out of some things. Overall we would try this place again with the expectation of the delay.

I came for a birthday dinner and it started out great until their service became very poor. Only one server but two other servers were just walking around. When I expressed my concerns to the supposed manager he listened but that was about it. He never came back to the table to assist. Instead he side talk with the supposed “help” of the other two severs. Overall the food was great besides my asparagus not being cooked to the order I requested. Not very likely I’ll be visiting again. I would have like too because the atmosphere and space was very nice but the quality of service was not.

I’m actually here now. I came in about 10 it’s a Tuesday. My first 15 min were not good. However the owner or manager heard my concern about me not being acknowledged. After that the night was great. The bartender her name is Day was marvelous after that. The fried crab legs we missed but we saw them they looked so good. The barbershop part is dope and looks clean, the owner is not that friendly. However this place is black excellence.

Finally made my way to this very chic spot. The service was great thanks Nikki for your friendly service. How comforting. The food hit the spot. I was craving something savory and sweet the chicken and waffles delivered. The chicken was nice and crunchy, like I like it. The waffle was ok. I'm sure if I would've made it to pick up my order in time it would've been better. I will be returning to try some other menu items. Until then.... Waited over 2 hours for blackened catfish and shrimp which I never received plus the waiter wasn't very friendly.it was a party of 9 everyone got their food but two of us and the waitress acted like she didn't care. It's cool though you don't treat people like that . **UPDATE** Barber Bistro made their wrong to right our server Nicki was awesome she exceeded our expectations and made our visit here at Barber Bistro a pleasurable visit she was awesome and the food was great and we got everything in a timely manner. I love supporting black owned businesses thank you Barber Bistro and Nicki for the wonderful service you guys def made up for our last visit we appreciate you guys and we definitely will be back! #BlackExcellence at it finest

Came into town from Indianapolis, IN & found this barbershop on IG. The barbers did an excellent job greeting customers as they walked in making us feel welcomed. 3 of us came in for haircuts & a barber wasn’t available for me so I was handed a free complementary drink card for the bar/restaurant which is connected! 😎🤗🕺🏿 The ladies operating the restaurant/bar area were very beautiful, nice, & informative when it came to the drink/food menu!!! I most definitely found my ATL home barbershop with this place & will come here over & over again. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
