Maple Tavern

Fantastic meal. Great service. Went in there on a Wednesday night it was pretty empty. Plenty of places to park. I ordered the shrimp avocado cheese burger medium rare with yum yum sauce on the side and no bun. It was perfect! In fact it was so good I started eating it and forgot to take a picture. The table also got onion rings a single order. And it was huge. They were fabulous. Home battered big onion rings. Cooked to perfection. I will absolutely go back and have the exact same meal again it was that good. Kudos to the cooks and kudos to our wonderful server.

Our server bartender and kitchen assistant were terrific. My lady had the pastrami sammich, and it was really good. Unfortunately, I had the Philly and the beef was dry and the bun was even quite dry on the ends. The server was gracious to offer some au-ju...not sure if she upcharged or not. I also added the homemade onion rings; 3 large ones. They could be onto something with them, however, they were actually doughy and undercooked. All in all, pints of Coors Light tap were $4.50 and Summer Shandy was $6! The sandwiches were basically $17 a pop so for the money spent, we probably won't be back anytime soon. Bummer as I saw pretty decent reviews from the past and the atmosphere seems like it could be fun. Oh, and they do have pulltabs if that's your thing.

The food was very mediocre at best. The atmosphere is great though. Good place to have drinks with friends and maybe a snack of bar food. But it's not worth to sit down. They have a ton of kids choices but no kids actual kids menus. Not a big deal, just a fyi. It's been very quiet the last couple times we've been here. Great service too. Just not the best food in town.
