Have eaten here for breakfast twice on the past 2 weeks and both time have been great. The premises look out directly over Shelley Beach and inside is like a big open and airy beach house in the Hamptons. Food is great, not cheap but high quality ingredients are used in the dishes. Coffee is tasty but cups are on the small side so I recommend ordering a large size. It’s a bit chaotic when entering as you need to find your own table which can be a challenge as the place gets very busy from very early.

If you usually go for brunch or lunch to Boathouse at Shelly Beach give the late afternoon summer Friday-Sunday cocktails/happy hour/ dj a go. Just had such a good night, all cocktails, particularly the margaritas, were fab. The dj absolutely rocked, great vibe and all staff are so lovely and welcoming and accommodating for my vegan hubby. At a time when it’s difficult to find a space to relax and enjoy yourself this was an absolute gem of a night. Thank you Boathouse staff for making this a special night.

Awesome fish and chips, plus a spectacular view! It gets pretty busy on the weekends. Be warned. They have take away (take out) or sit down. I saw this walking and came back after a scuba dive. Even my local scuba divers loved this place. The fish and chips are great. They ran out on the weekend I went scuba diving. The seating is open and very close to beach/shower/pathway.

Such a terrific place to go for lunch on a nice day. The seafood platter for two is amazing and well priced. But you will need a table for four as there is so much they bring you. Fresh seafood and a large and varied menu with healthy choice options. You can park free on side streets on Bower and College for 2 hours and it's a short walk from there.
