We had an amazing evening here. The best bit for us was the service.our friend dropped her phone in the toilet (without knowing) when found the staff popped into rice in the hope of saving the wine which is very good of them for sure

Lovely place. Walked in as they opened, had not booked. Noticed they had a sofa seating/chill area, but got a table straight away. Food was wonderful, as was the service. Will be my new go-to place when in Maidstone.

Came here with friends and had the most amazing evening. All the food was absolutely perfect, staff were polite and friendly and the atmosphere was just nice and chilled sitting outside. And just to add, best calamari I have ever eaten! Will definitely be coming back.

Service is impeccable. Everyone is so friendly and attentive.
The venue is gorgeous. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle in a grade II listed building.
Couldn't ask for more.

Just had the most awesome amazing tapas at La Taberna. We couldn't fault a thing, everything was top draw authentic Spanish cuisine. Lovely restaurant, lots of space, inside and outside. Every dish was delish, vegans, veggies catered for, top draw dynamite dining, check out the pics, friendly staff, huge massive portions, great value for money, 1000/1000 if your in Maidstone and you're up for something different La Taberna is the place too be. Will definitely be coming back for more... it's just like being back in Spain 100%...

Very good restaurant for Tapas. In a Grade I building so the restaurant was unique inside and outside. Food was delicious, everything served piping hot on a little cast iron pan. Service was very good too. Owner is very friendly too.

We were here in April for my birthday meal. It had been recommended by a friend who lived and worked in Spain and he said it was really authentic.
He was absolutely right! This is a family run restaurant with an entirely Spanish menu. The food was wonderful! Paella needs to be ordered in advance and is for a minimum of two people. It was well worth doing so! Lots of tapas choices, too.
The restaurant is a converted church and the interior is still reminiscent. Plenty of space between tables, so no overcrowding issues.
Service is also excellent. Very attentive without being overbearing.

This has to be one of my favourite local restaurants. I have been several times from big groups as well as just me and my partner. The service and quality never seems to falter. The patatas bravas are ADDICTIVE! I love the building and the general relaxed atmosphere. I 100% recommend to anyone

What an absolute gem. I loved this place. The building was beautiful. The staff were wonderful and were so helpful to get this surprise set up for my dear friend. We all throughly enjoyed the food and non alcoholic sangria's and mojito's.

The paella was very good, as was the white house wine as an accompaniment to our delicious meal. The desert was also beautifully presented and very tasty. My only complaint (a minor one) was that the Pulpo a La Galega (octopus) was cut too thinly. It tasted great, served over potatoes, but I can't forget the portions of pulpo we enjoyed in Galicia. The service was excellent and very friendly. We will definitely return to try the tapas.
