Truck Stop

After a long treacherous drive down the mountains on SH 26 in the winter, you have to make it a point visit this establishment. I shut down here. Small little Cafe with great food. Say hello to Tammy, who gives great service. Mary lou was cooking. I had the pork chops, mashed potatoes (REAL POTATO), green beans. It comes with a fresh roll and butter. I started with a cup of Beef Vegetable Soup. Fresh! It was outstanding! I then asked for a huge hunk of carrots cake to take back to the truck. Jury is out on that. My dinner was $20.00 including grat. Carrot Cake and some milk, $9.00 grat included. Very nice people here and the folks in the town are very nice as well. Plenty of parking fr big rigs, but get here early. The lot is not very big. Almost felt like home. Come here, you won't regret it. Cafe is open til 10 PM.

This stop is a Great gem of a rest haven for truckers and travellers alike. Plenty of parking for big rigs with amenities all around. (Fast food, movie theater, C store) But what makes this place such a blessing for truckers is the small cafe inside. Don't let the looks fool you, they serve delicious, quality diner/home style food. We did a 2 day layover right here, had the best breakfasts and dinners the entire time. Caught a movie.. Wonderful truck stop that needs to be supported by the truckers going through. ♥️♥️♥️😎👍

its a wonder that anyone could possibly know anything about this truck stops cafe. All the reviews in google maps are 3-5 even 6-years old. the truck stop has new ownership. presently the who;e operation is being run by Jessy and his wife who, I might add, my wife thinks makes wonderful curry dishes when she has the time to put the time into. the menu has changed some but a good many of the old favorites are still available. to be fair, we have other truck stops in this littletown of Madras, but of course I'm a little biased in that this is Madras' oldest and known mostly by some of the oldest and most loyal of the truckers that roll though here where US 26 and US 97 cross and intersect in this part of oregon. these men and women keep this little "truck town" and the rest of America, supplied and moving on further down range. boardome becomes a pain in the rear for many of our cargo haulers and the diversity that Madras Truck Stop & Cafe can offer them on their short and long hauls. if you're passing through, stop in for a cup of coffee, some good food and friendly management and wait-staff.
