Cook Out

First time here. It was recommended by a friend. Was not impressed. Menu was confusing and when I asked for help the cashier just looked at me like I was the dumb one. I informed her this was my first time here, but she offered no help. The food was horrible. The chili on my burger tasted more like sawdust than chili, super dry, lacking any taste. We sat all the way in the back of the restaurant and yet we could still hear the people putting there order in at the drive thru. WHY IS IT SO LOUD? WHY IS THE STAFF NOT WEARING HEADSETS WHEN THEY TAKE ORDERS SO I DON"T HAVE TO HEAR WHAT THEY ARE ORDERING? Stay away from this place at all costs.

First time ever trying one of these places, and I’d recommend studying the menu. Menu is seemingly simple but is begging for its own Kitchen Nightmares special. Asked for a cheddar style big double with no mayo. I guess no mayo means absolutely nothing at all that I ordered on my burger. I didn’t get lettuce, onions, pickle, or anything it’s supposed to come with. Burgers are okay. Seems like a standard thin steak burger. Not bad, just kinda small but tasted good. I just wish I would have gotten what was supposed to come on it. 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy a slow disappointment that improves over time. I’d assume it was something I messed up, but all I asked for was no mayo from what it listed on the burger.

This place was right next to our hotel, so we decided to try it. Thank goodness we did! Ordered a double cheese burger ($5) and my wife got 2 corn dogs (it was like $2) then 2 drinks. Food was out within 10 minutes the food tasted great! The staff was very nice, and dine in area was clean. Highly recommend.

From the last time I went, it seems like they raised their prices and their food quality took a huge dive. I can understand if they raised prices a little, but not both. This used to be my go-to for good cheap food. It was unbeatable. Now I never think about it. Perhaps I'll try again later, but that last trip was disappointing.

Greeted when arrived, but did not feel welcome. Explained we had never been to a cookout restaurant before and she just kept asking us what we wanted. Not very helpful in finding sides on the menu, how many (if any) came with the option we chose. Food was edible, that was all. Can hear everything over the loudspeaker. Why can I hear everything going on in the drive thru word for word in the dining area? Do not recommend.

Tried a new fast food concept on the way from Ohio to Florida. I wasn't sure what to order as the menu has a larger variety of items, especially milkshakes. Recommendations would have been wonderful. My nephew chose a hot dog and double chocolate milk shake. My mom chose a bbq sandwich. Service was quick. The bbq sandwich and shake were delicious.

First time customers, stopping for the night on way home from vacation. Read the reviews and realized it would be a roll of the dice. Cookie, working at the front counter, was very patient and explained the menu to us. We were amazed as the selection of "sides", many of which could be the main dish. Slaw reminded me of Long John Silver's slaw which was my favorite growing up. Loved the shakes. Only reason not 5/5 was my daughter's hushpuppies were over done, practically burnt (we didn't try to exchange them), but others we got (made in different batch obviously were fine)...same daughter didn't like the chili, which I will say did taste like it was seasoned only with chili powder, but wasn't paired with cheese on her hot dog...that might have made it better. Over all, we were satisfied with the value, the amount of food, and we would stop again if staying in the Macon area.
