Don Ramon

2 words. Taco Loco! This should be the signature meal here. The menu doesn't give this gem enough credit. Its an oversized Taco with chicken, beef and shrimp cooked to tender perfection! It contains a medley of tomatoes, zucchini, onions and cheese sauce to tie it all in. The crispy homemade shell is my favorite. Not the crispy crunchy taste you'd expect, more like a layered, almost flaky shell. Very unique. This is my go to order here, I have not tried anything else and have been going to all their locations for years! I have made all my friends believers! Chips are always fresh and served warm. Let's talk about their Margaritas 🍹. Hands down the best in town. When I say the best, that means they are NOT watered down. Very tasty and blended well. Happy Hour is the best deal. Dined in once and did take out once since covid. In my opinion dine in is much better, I did feel safe with social distancing. Staff wore masks. They marked off tables to place appropriate spacing of patrons. They also had a QR code for those who wanted a touch less menu experience. They stayed busy with takeout orders and inside was busy too but they seemed to handle it well. Pro Tip: order a side of sour cream. Its a match made in heaven! Also check the website for coupons or your local mailer (coupon books).

It was my besties birthday we had a party of 7 but I know how it is in the hospitality industry so I tried to helm the table we ordered our drinks they sent another employee to the table to have us change our order my party changed I kept it the same I know the drill lol the service was good I had to tip on anoter check because we spilt the bill they don't let you pay in cash and tip on a card and she was nice thanks for dealing with us. BY the way when they sing happy birthday the hat they put on your head has an amazing history please visit this place the food is awesome 👌.

Don Ramon's Mexican restaurant was a different place from other Mexican restaurant's. The inside of the restaurant was your typical atmosphere with the Mexican music playing on the back. The menu food pictures was another story. These pictures showed that the food preparation had a chef touch; therefore, the plates were going to be pricey. Don't mind the plates price if the presentation is back up with a good flavoring food. All I can say from this experience at Don Ramon's Mexican restaurant: the presentation was a 10 but a 7 on the food taste. Overall; the food was good with the exception of the street tacos, the tacos was the reason for the low rate and the hostess lacking greeting training.

My first visit was for lunch. They have twenty five lunch options plus one or two extra daily items from seasonal options. I chose lunch special #22 - sautéed shrimp with crush red peppers. Yummy! A little heat but not scorching hot. You also get a large basket of chips and salsa. I will be back. I returned for another lunch. Antonio was my server. Great service. This time I had lunch special #8 - sautéed shrimp with onions and creamy Chipotle sauce, served with lettuce, pico de gallo and rice (see pictures). The creamy Chipotle mild, smoked sauce provided a mild, smokey heat. YUMMY! Had ice tea to drink and the complimentary chips and salsa. Again, I will return for another lunch soon. I returned for my third lunch at Don Ramon's Mexican Restaurant. The food and the service was excellent. I enjoyed the lunch special #22 again. Very good depth of flavor. I returned to Don Ramon Mexican Restaurant for Cinco de Mayo 2022 for another lunch. The complimentary chips are a festive red, green and plain in honor of Cinco de Mayo. Using the lunch menu, I started with the Chicken Soup. A very tasty and hearty soup. Loaded with vegetables and rice and Chicken plus avocado slices. I had an unsweetened ice tea to drink. I finished my meal with the lunch special #22 again. The restaurant was full and they had extra wait staff on duty. However, after placing my meal order and being served in a timely manner, I had to ask multiple servers and four times for an additional bowl of salsa. It would have been nice to get the additional salsa sooner than later. The kitchen, as usual, was turning out well plated food with a great visual presentation and great taste. I returned to Don Ramon for my fifth meal. This time I started with Grilled Shrimp Appetizer. WOW! Very great flavor. I followed the appetizer with the Steak Mexicano. A nice meal but did not have the depth of flavor of the appetizer.

Food was good, good portion sizes, flavorful and well prepared. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean and the ambiance welcoming. I loved the decor, the background music and overall experience. I'm not from the area and found this restaurant via a Google search, and glad I did. Big kudos and thanks to everyone that made this a place I want to come back to. The menu had many choices, combos, and prices are very reasonable. This is definitely a place to bring a date, do date night, family friendly, bring the kids or meet up with friends.
