Shoney's

Ordered coffee. Waitress brought out some sludge and said she was making a new pot. Rather than give me a new cup which I requested, she kept topping off the sludge, til I had a chance to dump it. One star is only because she asked if I needed more creamers. Sunday buffet was less than par... quite empty, vacant, and what was there was old and cold. Asked if they refilled items, they said yes and ended up putting two pieces of chicken out. They were hours from closing. Everyone left feeling sick. Definitely a NON recommend!!

The only reason this gets a two is the waitress was awesome. Arriving at 3pm, the food on the buffet looked like it was there since 11am. When asking for pancakes that are on the menu I was later told they did not have any pancake batter made, at a place that serves all day breakfast. Each persons food was brought out 10 minutes apart from each other, with the last being 40 minutes after the next to last. We were the only customers in the entire place. The food itself made everyone sick, and did not taste good at all, that was ordered off of the menu. The desert was frost bitten. No one in the store knew how to split a check. We were told the cook was not ready for the shift change.

Called the day before Mother's day for info and prices. Was told they could take a reservation for fourteen people and was quoted prices. When we got there we were told they didn't take reservations and prices were five dollars more that was quoted. The manager was rude to me when I question why I was told differently he acted like I was trying to put something over on him. The ladies at the register were extremely nice and tried to help. The children were hungry and I didn't want to spoil everyone day, but there was not much on the buffet that they would eat. About forty five min. after we started eating they put out fried chicken which is what they wanted. I will never go back there again. Plus we had to have all the tables and chairs cleaned before we could sit down. Gross!

We eat supper there, about 6:00. Fried chicken must have been left over from dinner, as it had become dry and hard. No legs or wings were available. All were same pieces, whatever someone did not want for dinner. Hot fudge cake was dry. Very disappointing, not up to other Shoney's restaurant standards. Even though food was bad, Service was good .
