Sweet Surrender Bakery

We did our wedding cake and several pies from Sweet Surrender in October 2021. Bonnie was so pleasant and easy to work with. We went with the maple cake and did pumpkin, apple and pear pies. Everything was a big hit. The bakery takes cash or Venmo, so I was easily able to send our deposit or pay from afar.

I can't say enough great things about Bonnie and how perfect our wedding cake was for our Labor Day weekend wedding. I was one of those vague, indecisive brides, and with the little direction I gave her, she was able to deliver an absolutely gorgeous and delicious wedding cake with flowers that matched the rest of our decor. We had a couple of different flavors, so our guests were able to satisfy their chocolate truffle cravings or raspberry fix. During our tasting, I asked if she could prepare a banana cream pie for my mom's birthday--her favorite. It was out-of-this-world good and came at a good price. Thank you, Bonnie!

Went in for coffee before we went skiing and it clearly states a mask is needed to enter. My husband had his but I accidentally left mine at home. I went in and asked the waitress if she had one I could use and she stated very loud “I’m going to need you to step out of here right now”. Super rude, there’s a way to say things… all she had to do was tell me they didn’t supply masks to customers and ask me politely to get one. Instead, she embarrassed me infront of all the other customers. We are from out of town on a ski trip, safe to say we will never go back now after this experience. The server needs to learn basic manners.

When my wife and I were married in August 2021, we were recommended Sweet Surrender Bakery by our venue. After visiting the website and corresponding with Bonnie, the owner, we knew we wanted her to make our wedding desserts! Bonnie was extremely helpful every step of the way, giving us a broad range of cakes and frostings to taste and helping us decide what types of desserts would be best for our wedding (we eventually settled on a chocolate cake and a variety of cupcakes – all of which were delicious!). She also helped us select a design for our cake that suited our wedding theme when we found ourselves stumped. The cake was both beautiful and tasty (oftentimes they’re one or the other, and this one was both) and the cupcakes were a huge hit with our guests! My wife particularly loved the chocolate ganache frosting and the beautiful sugary flowers. We would definitely recommend Sweet Surrender to anyone looking for delicious and unique sweets to add to their event. Thank you so much, Bonnie. :)
