Bellbird Eatery

I am a very regular visitor to Bellbird and I can’t fault the place. Meals are the same high standard every time. Lovely decor and the best part is the staff. Very friendly and welcoming, in fact the staff are exceptionally friendly. Pricing is reasonable. Quick service and an awesome location in the Hutt next to the Dowse. It’s very pleasant with cool music. Often 80s which I particularly love. I just keep coming back as I can’t get enough. I don’t live near by so I make a special trip just to see them. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

We had a wonderful evening last night at Bellbird. It was an amazing ambient evening with GREAT cocktails made by mixologist Nick and the service by the girls was second to none, always checking to see if we were ok and needed anything and very accommodating. Music playing in the background was fabulous. The platters was amazing and complimented the food and atmosphere. If ever you’re looking for something to do on a Friday night then I strongly recommend Bellbird for a great, relaxing evening with amazing ambience, staff, food and drinks⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We often have breakfast and lunch at Bellbird. Last night we met friends and enjoyed 5 different cocktails that Nick made for us. He delivered the drinks and answered all our questions about them. We ordered the large sharing platter which had an impressive array of food that was tasty fresh and abundant. The girls who waited on us were soo friendly attentive and we shared some humorous banter. Loved the Motown music and ambience. We will be definitely returning often. Thank you for a great night Bellbird and staff.

First night last night at Summer opening hours shared a beautiful platter with friends. The mixologist created some amazing cocktails - the Old Fashion knocked my socks off with its citrus infused ice and the Espresso Martini is definitely recommended! Great staff banter too! We'll definitely be back!

I had the spicy lentil soup, it was amazing! Not overly spicy (which I was a little worried about), but definitely flavoursome! The chipotle chicken tidbits served like croutons on top were a perfect balance to the soup flavours. I will definitely be going back for it again. Oh yes, and when my coffee arrived and was only warm, not hot, I asked for it to be microwaved or a little hot water added. The two young people behind the counter (one being the barista) insisted with a smile, on making me another coffee and I'm happy to say it was perfect temp and flavour when it arrived. No delays, smiles all the way and great food. A wonderful dining experience.

Perhaps the best service I've had in years! The server noticed I was waiting for someone so came to check if I wanted a drink while I waited. My friend soon turned up so the server popped back over to see if my friend would like to add a drink to the order. It's not a big thing but it shows an awareness of the customers and their needs that I don't see very often these days. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our main Server (short Petite female, long brown hair, tattoos - if this is you, you rock!) pulled us over to another till to 'skip the line' to pay. Again, it's the small things, but they're delightful. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was great. An excellent cafe and my new favourite in Lower Hutt!
