Marko's Gyros

It may not be as noticeable from the street as it should be, but Markos in Lowell is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The customer service is top notch and it has exactly the flavor profile that I was hoping for. The chicken is tender and cooked fresh. The yogurt and cucumber sauce and hot sauce go extremely well together. My wife and I usually share one order of their Monster Fries with chicken (spicy). It is more than enough for two people and the fries serve as a great bed for the chicken, tomatoes, onions and sauces. My only complaint would be, of the multiple times we've had, one time the fries were not as fresh as I would have liked. To be fair, it was about a half hour till they close. There are benches outside which you can eat on, or just eat in the car. There is parking available usually, but the traffic right outside is a pain sometimes. They have confirmed on Facebook and in person that the chicken is halal

Go right now. The customer service is impeccable and the food matches. The Mediterranean loaded fries with marinated chicken and spicy sauce was fantastic. Portion was quite large and the staff will bring food to a table or car for you. The unfortunate reality is the traffic patterns make this place criminally difficult to get to. But I’ll walk a mile in the snow to go here if I have to. Keep up the phenomenal work.

This is the second time, my husband and I have chosen to eat here. Yes, they have an off schedule but I think they are entitled to that, considering their food and customer service is out of this world. I highly recommend Marko's, to everyone! "The Grilled Gyro" is so fresh. Their "folds" are fresh baked, daily! The Spanish sweet onions, vine tomatoes, and their HOMEMADE yogurt/cucumber/garlic sauce... everything is so fresh!! This, for sure, is our favorite lunch spot.
