Arthur's Diner

I have been going to Arthurs for 35 years and have enjoyed their world famous Bootmill sandwiches for years which makes it painful for me to now give this place 2 stars, which is being generous. I know times are tough amd costs are up everywhere, but one thing you should never do is compromise the integrity of the product. The Bootmills I got yesterday looked lile mini sliders to the Bootmills of years ago. Hardly any homefried potatoes, a very small egg, and hardly any bacon on my sandwich. I ate two sandwiches and felt lile they were half the size, and now triple the price. They definitely are nowhere near the size of past sandwiches and if it means putting more homefries, which is potato and very cheap, you need to do something to justify the price and restore the sandwich to what it once was, the king of breakfast sandwiches and the icon of the Bootmill city.

We were greeted cheerfully! We took a booth seat. This place is nostalgic for sure. It's an old train car. We ordered 2 Boott Mills Sandwiches: one with bacon, and one with sausage, and our daughter got french toast with butter. It was suggested that I try my sausage Boott with hot sauce and it was delicious! Coffee was alright, and my husband and daughter had a bottle of o.j. too. Our daughter said her french toast was good. The Boott is a breakfast sandwich with home fried style potatoes, fried egg, cheese, and choice of meat served on a soft, white bun. It was popular too! The place was selling Bootts like mad. If you get the chance to try it, you should. You can order ahead and pick up your Boott too.
