Subway

Forget the price.... the quality of the food is terrible i ordered a meatball and mind yu i havent ate subway since canadian chicken scare so i was willing to give it a shot since nothing else in union station is filling. Googled whats really in the meatballl marina and was satisufed withh not to many addied chemcals or fillers. Ordered the meatball and GOD i spit out my food because the meatballs were so old yu can taste the cardboard in them!. Ill really never eat subway again

Man this subway is pricey! I wish someone could tell the staff: "Hey, folks who take the Public transportation, primarily do it because they can't even afford a car. So, instead of your Beverly Hills price, why don't you acknowledge that?" Seriously, with the amount of foot traffic that comes through here, theirs no excuse why they are not outselling everyone. (And all the neighboring restaurants exceed these prices, so their is an opening for a conventional fast food joint. As oppose to this subway for those who breath a little easier.)

I don't understand why someone would have such a bad attitude making a simple sandwich. But hopefully the unprofessional lady who was rude to me while attempting to make a sandwich (until I changed my mind & walked away in discuss) is fired. She is truly a bad representation for any public business. Maybe clean hotel rooms instead.

The ABSOLUTELY BEST SUBWAY, with the friendliest, most accommodating staff. Last time, they had the gate down, having closed a bit early, due to impending repairs, but the guy agreed to make me a badly-needed sandwich. I had walked miles, and zero was open. The hours, here, are until 11pm, and that is great. And the dude gave me a small cup of coke, gratis, as I was low on funds for that. I gave him a buck tip and always, I would MUCH rather pay a few cents more, to eat at this location, due to it being at Union Station, and put up with the crazy homeless folks that can hang at that transit center, instead of going to other Subways, where they cop an attitude about things, at times. The worst Subway for that is at Main, just South of Alameda, where they can act like they're doing you a favor, by being there.

They have many people working during peak times but the preparation space for sandwiches is so small, it takes longer than necessary to get a sandwich made when there is a line. If you have ten minutes to get on a bus, or switch from a train, skip this place. I have had a sandwich from here and it was satisfactorily made to order.
