Good Measure

The Grilled octopus alone is worth the trip here. Our server recommended the Albariño white and it paired perfectly. The chef had a focaccia bread seasonally which was great. The lamb meat balls which was part of the rotating menu was amazing. Highly worth the trip if you want Great food. We ordered multiple things on the menu but this and the lamb meatballs stood out as the all stars of the night.

wonderful and lively atmosphere. little plates to share were perfectly composed -- shaved raw cauliflower, watermelon radish, raisin & pine nut salad, succulent grilled octopus served with red pepper aioli, barbecued squash and baba ghanoush. For a main, the grilled whole branzino, filleted with blood orange, lemon, and shaved fennel inside, surrounded by beurre blanc sauce, fingerling potatoes, and haricots beets was a delightfully rich and sweet dish worth sharing between two.

This little spot is great for a birthday celebration, date night, or just a great meal with friends and family. The grilled octopus is an absolute hit! The Lamb Meatballs with have you drooling for more and the Steak Frites is perfection. Enjoy a glass of first class Pinot noir and the pot de creme dessert. Moderately priced, it’s not exactly a nightly haunt for someone on a budget, but you’ll definitely be glad you spent the money and so will your tastebuds. The staff is warm, approachable, and attentive but not overbearing. Just steps from the Tee Yee club and a mere few blocks from Bon Vivant, you can have an amazing meal and take in the rest of the Atwater Strip for a fun evening out. Highly recommended, must try!

I am picky to start, and I have been disappointed by the dining/food experience in Los Angeles in general. And then I found this place: it is a Good Measure In every sense of the way. Dining there is an experience: service is impeccable, your waiter, often the managing owner or his associate, will greet you and advise you on wine they have actually hand picked. The risotto is out of this world, and really everything else on the menu. The atmosphere is nice, so are the other guests. You get an upscale dining experience for a reasonable price. It’s the exception in LA!

We just had the best diner in a long time in LA. Matthew is the best and his sommelier skills are something else. The octopus was absolutely perfect (trust me I’m Portuguese) and the steak frites was the best. Both us and our friends are world travelers and we do like to eat our. Make no mistake this place rocks. They will attend and entertain you with excellence! Thumbs up, five star!!!!!
